#TrumpIsALaughingStock: Disheveled, 'utterly defeated' Trump makes Twitter call his video 'walk of shame'
Shortly after President Donald Trump arrived at the White House post his rally at Tulsa, Oklahoma, many social media users were quick to point out that the Republican looked "defeated" and appeared disheveled, with his tie undone. Trump, on Saturday night, June 20, was seen walking out of Marine One and appeared to be shuffling again. He also had a seemingly dejected look on his face as he waved to the waiting photographers.
"I have never seen a president walk into the White House with their tie undone clearly heavily medicated and defeated," one Twitter user stated sharing a video clip of him walking out of the chopper. Many other Twitter users called the clip a "walk of shame" for Trump. "Wow, this is the most raw and defeated he has ever looked!!" another user commented.
"This is the look of a defeated and shamed man. Would not have wanted to be on that flight home. #TrumpIsALaughingStock" a third said. "Hat off, tie untied, disheveled, defeated — and outsmarted by GenZ, Trump returns from his colossal crowd of 6,611 in Tulsa," a fourth added referring to a coordinated effort by K-pop fans and teenage TikTok users who scooped up Trump's Tulsa rally tickets, leaving hundreds of seats empty at the event.
"Just after 1AM, his tie undone, Pres Trump steps off Marine One back at the WH from his rally in Tulsa," another marked on his appearance. "By my count, it was his 500th flight aboard Marine One as president."
One Twitter user tagged the president's son Eric Trump, writing: "Did you see your dad getting off marine one? He looked like he was crying. @realDonaldTrump
looked utterly defeated. His tie undone. Lifeless defeated. It looks like the end of his presidency. A Great Day For America!"
"Trump looks defeated as he exits Marine 1 after failing to fill the Tulsa Rally. Prepare for the next attack of narcissistic injury rage. Apparently he’s looking to fire someone (Brad?) his own failure #Emptyseats #TulsaFlop #TulsaRally #EveryonesLaughingAtYouDonald," another wrote.
The Trump campaign, on June 11, had tweeted urging people to use their phones to register for free tickets for Trump's Tulsa rally. Reports state that K-pop fans shared the information with their groups and urged the followers to get the tickets and not show up for the rally. The plan quickly spread and TikTok users also followed the lead of the K-pop fans. Iowa grandmother Mary Jo Laupp reportedly led part of the charge on TikTok, according to CNN. She reportedly posted a video on the platform last week, asking people to "reserve tickets now and leave him standing alone there on the stage."
The Trump campaign, last week, had said that the president's Tulsa rally at Bank of Oklahoma Center had received over a million requests for tickets, which had been rescheduled from Friday, June 18, to avoid coinciding with the Juneteenth holiday. However, the coverage of the event showed that an area meant for overflow was largely empty, and there were thousands of empty seats inside the arena too. According to the Tulsa Fire Department, the turnout at the event was just under 6,200 people, less than half the venue's capacity.
