President Donald Trump opened up about his niece Mary Trump's upcoming tell-all book on his relationship with his family members, set to be released on July 28. In an exclusive interview published on Sunday, June 21, the POTUS denied abandoning his father when the latter's memory began to wane, contrary to the allegations of neglect brought against him in the book.

In her book 'Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man', the eldest grandchild of Fred Trump Sr (Trump's father) claimed that being a "firsthand witness to countless holiday meals and family interactions", she could reveal, among other damaging secrets, that the president "dismissed and derided" his father once he began to suffer from Alzheimer's.

Speaking to Axios, Trump denied the claims that he distanced himself from his father, whose framed photo still sits on his desk in the Oval office. "It's totally false; the opposite," Trump said. "Actually, the opposite. I always had a great relationship. I didn't know that she said that. That's a disgraceful thing to say."

Mary also revealed how her uncle "became the man who now threatens the world's health, economic security and social fabric".

She explains how "specific events and general family patterns created the damaged man who currently occupies the Oval Office, including the strange and harmful relationship between Fred Trump and his two oldest sons, Fred Jr and Donald," a blurb for the book says.

The author, who has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, is all set to reveal that there is bad blood between Trump and his brother's children over Fred Trump Sr's will. Mary and her brother Fred III sued Trump saying their grandfather's will was “procured by fraud and undue influence” by the president and his siblings and that the duo should get had a larger share of the inheritance.

But Trump claimed in the interview that he had an excellent relationship with his nephew, Fred III, who visited him just a few weeks ago when he was yet to learn about the explosive book. "I have a good relationship with [Mary Trump's] brother. I actually had him — he was in here. He was sitting right in the seat where you are last week, unrelated to that. I didn't even know — maybe two weeks ago. I didn't even know about a book coming out until just the other day," he said.

He also confirmed what sources had claimed earlier — that Mary had signed a non-disclosure agreement, according to which she could not legally write and publish a book about the Trump family's inner mechanisms. "She's not allowed to write a book," Trump said. "You know, when we settled with her and her brother, who I do have a good relationship with — she's got a brother, Fred, who I do have a good relationship with, but when we settled, she has a total... signed a nondisclosure... she's obviously not honoring it if she writes a book. It's too bad."

Trump added that the nondisclosure agreement with him, which she signed in 2001 was a "very powerful one... It covers everything" and that his brother, Robert, was "very angry" after learning about the book.
