America's got 99 problems, but Corona 19 ain't one: Trump slammed for ‘no testing, no cases’ statement

US President Donald Trump has been slammed for negligence after coronavirus cases in the US spiked up and rocketed to near-record levels. With no restrictions, the normal schedule of meetings and travel has continued throughout the nation even as hospitals are crammed up with sick patients. Following Trump's recent Tulsa rally, dozens of Secret Service officers and agents who were on site were ordered to self-quarantine after two of their colleagues tested positive.

On Thursday, June 25, Trump mocked the deadly virus and called it "Corona 19". “Sometimes I jokingly say, or sarcastically say, if we didn’t do tests we would look great,” Trump said in an interview and Fox News town hall with Sean Hannity. “But you know what? It’s not the right thing to do.” He then went on to say, “There are so many names to this, I could name 19 names like Corona 19.”

No sooner did the clip circulate on social media, his statement went viral and people couldn't stop trolling him. "Hey, if we stop checking people’s immigration status, we’d have a lot less illegal immigration," one posted and another said, "Essentially what he is saying is that if no testing were done, the pandemic would move through the nation like wildfire without anything knowing what the hell was going on. And that's basically his preferred approach."

"His preferred approach is to avoid responsibility for anything. No tests=No numbers=no cases=No Blame=No responsibility," one said and another posted, "Trump says the pandemic is over because everyone who could be dead has been successfully rendered totally dead."

Many couldn't stop laughing at the entire fiasco. Trolling the president, one said, "19 is Trump's I.Q." Another said, "Corona 19? Perhaps the number of beers he had today." Soon, the Internet was bursting with sarcasm and jokes. One asked, "Is he losing his mind? He had to have had a mind to lose in the first place. Also, he's probably been out of his mind as a pre-existing condition." Another said, "If you’re having virus problems I feel bad for you son, I got 19 problems and Corona ain’t one."

One even went on to say that his sixth-grade son could be better than Trump.  "@realDonaldTrump - I could name 19 names like Corona 19! He is not at all an intelligent person! I bet $10K that he can't list all 19 names from memory if at all there are 19. I am happy that my 6th-grade son can be president too!" the tweet read and another said, "This is single-handedly the strangest statement I've ever read from Trump since he's been president it makes no sense " I could name nineteen names like Corona 19 " then what are the other 18 name since you use one @realDonaldTrump. Please explain to the American people."
