Trump accuses Fox News, other networks of poll tampering: 'They should be called out for Election Interference'

'@FoxNews,@QuinnipiacPoll, ABC/WaPo, NBC/WSJ were so inaccurate with their polls on me, that it really is tampering with an Election. They were so far off in their polling,' Trump's post read

President Donald Trump has accused Fox News and other media networks of "tampering with the election" as the polls were "so inaccurate". The POTUS took to Twitter on Monday, November 9, night and shared a series of tweets where he blamed the media for his election defeat and accused many news outlets of "election interference" as their polls were "so far off" in many states in the US. He did single out Fox News specifically, which has in the past, been his favorite.

Trump's messages came after Fox News and many other conservative outlets, owned by Rupert Murdoch, changed their stance about the president after the election, earning the POTUS' wrath. "@FoxNews,@QuinnipiacPoll, ABC/WaPo, NBC/WSJ were so inaccurate with their polls on me, that it really is tampering with an Election. They were so far off in their polling, and in their attempt to suppress - that they should be called out for Election Interference..." his post read. The tweets mark his latest attacks on the media after he grew enraged at all the networks for calling this election for his rival Joe Biden who seemed to race ahead in many swing states. Around 24 hours after the media had called the election for Biden on Sunday, November 8, Trump tweeted: "Since when does the Lamestream Media call who our next president will be? We have all learned a lot in the last two weeks!"

He also pointed to states like Wisconsin and Iowa where he said that the media had projected that he would lose to Biden. He had shared, "ABC/WaPo had me down 17 points in Wisconsin, the day before the election, and I WON! In Iowa, the polls had us 4 points down, and I won by 8.2%! Fox News and Quinnipiac were wrong on everything." In another tweet, he wrote, "The worst polling ever, and then they’ll be back in four years to do it again. This is much more then voter and campaign finance suppression!"

Trump's remarks came after Fox News cut away from a briefing that was held by the White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany where she repeated Trump's refusal to accept defeat in the presidential election. She also reiterated the allegations of voter fraud which has no evidence. On Monday night, McEnany spoke to media during what she called a campaign event at the Republican National Committee headquarters. There she said Republicans want "every legal vote to be counted, and every illegal vote to be discarded" which led to Fox News cutting away from the briefing. Host Neil Cavuto said from the studio, "Whoa, whoa, whoa – I just think we have to be very clear. She’s charging the other side as welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting. Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue to show you this."

"I want to make sure that maybe they do have something to back that up, but that’s an explosive charge to make, that the other side is effectively rigging and cheating. If she does bring proof of that, of course we’ll take you back. So far she has started saying, right at the outset – ‘welcoming fraud, welcoming illegal voting’. Not so fast," he added.
