It may be too soon to know who is the killer and kidnapper, there were a couple of clues revealed - you might want to go back and re-watch.

It's been quite the happening day in 'True Detective' land. Episode 3 is just brimming with stories, there are new secrets all over the place, blink and you'll miss it clues and suspicious parallel arcs that we can only gasp at. Added to the mix is a confusing timeline that makes you wonder if you should start filling out the gaps mentally. While that may be next to impossible, there were a couple of clues revealed - you might want to go back and re-watch.

This episode inched a lot closer to finding out what happened to the kids. Hays found Will's dead body last week but Julia was nowhere to be seen. Hays, along with his partner Roland West go out into the woods for a search party and end up finding a clearing where the kids used to play. Hays also finds blood nearby. Now the future Hays has already told us that Julia is alive since her prints were found during a robbery investigation. As for Will, while browsing through an old photo album, Hays finds a photo of the boy in the exact same position as his body was lying when it was found under the rocks. The duo finds out from the parents that it was taken during the child's first communion, giving the crime a more religious tone. A good kind of deja vu to the first season, for sure.
