The season finale finally told us who the killer was and how the Purcell children died all those years ago. As it turns out, it really wasn't a complicated crime when it came to Will and Julie Purcell but what was absolutely shocking about the story, was the way it ended. For the first time in a long time, 'True Detective' showed us that time is, indeed, a flat circle.
