'True Detective' season 3 finale: Connecting the dots to know who killed Will Purcell and kidnapped Julie

The nail-biting fest of a third season finally came to an end and we now know who the killer was and how the Purcell children died all those years ago.

Spoilers for 'True Detective' season 3 finale.

"What if there’s another story? What if something went unbroken? All this life, all this loss — what if it was really one long story that just kept going and going until it healed itself? Wouldn’t that be a story worth telling? Wouldn’t that be a story worth hearing?"

 

 

The season finale finally told us who the killer was and how the Purcell children died all those years ago. As it turns out, it really wasn't a complicated crime when it came to Will and Julie Purcell but what was absolutely shocking about the story, was the way it ended. For the first time in a long time, 'True Detective' showed us that time is, indeed, a flat circle.
