True Detective season 3 episode 5: Hays and West hop on a senile adventure train

Episode 5 is the pivotal one in the series for sure and in some ways, it feels like a milestone where the past and the present meet and the really screwed up 2015 timeline starts to make sense.

It's as though Nic Pizzolatto feels personally responsible to keep each one of us watching ' True Detective' wondering what the hell is going on. It's not a complaint, a compliment rather - this season is turning out to be absolutely gripping in all the right ways and one can feel the memories of the terribly average season 2 slowing fading away. Episode 5 is the pivotal one in the series for sure and in some ways, it feels like a milestone where the past and the present meet and the really screwed up 2015 timeline starts to make sense. It could just be Roland West coming onboard with Wayne Hays' senile adventure but things are about to get very interesting.
