'Will he pay the bail with crypto?' Trolls galore as FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried ARRESTED in the Bahamas
NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS: Crypto billionaire and former CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried aka "SBF" was arrested in The Bahamas after being criminally charged by US prosecutors. His $32 billion empire came crashing down last month and the embattled cryptocurrency mogul had been in hiding ever since. The shocking development comes moments before he was supposed to testify in front of the House Financial Services Committee over the collapse of FTX.
Bahamian Prime Minister Philip Davis released a statement, "The Bahamas and the United States have a shared interest in holding accountable all individuals associated with FTX who may have betrayed the public trust and broken the law." Exactly one month and a day after thr 30-year-old crypto prodigy filed his company for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, he was arrested. Davis further said, "While the United States is pursuing criminal charges against SBF individually, The Bahamas will continue its own regulatory and criminal investigations into the collapse of FTX, with the continued cooperation of its law enforcement and regulatory partners in the United States and elsewhere."

We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time." The Internet, on the opposite side, is slamming Bankman-Fried.
