WWE superstar Trish Stratus trends amid Black Lives Matter protests and fans are relieved it's not for racism
Trish Stratus was one of the top trends on Twitter. No sooner did people come across her name, they started wondering if she was connected to the #BlackLivesMatter protest or probably made a racist remark long time ago. However, hard-core fans were relieved to find out the real reason.
The WWE star was trending as fans had named her one of their favorites and couldn't stop talking about how "sexy" she is. Born as Patricia Anne Stratigeas, she was a one-time WWE Hardcore Champion, three-time "WWE Babe of the Year" and was crowned "Diva of the Decade". After winning her record seventh WWE Women's Championship, the 44-year-old retired from professional wrestling in 2006.
Apparently, the trend sparked from a poll where WWE fans were asked to name their favorites and it soon became a rage on the micro-blogging platform. "Saw Trish Stratus trending and thought oh no not her too, but luckily it’s just people lusting over her and naming her as one of their WWE faves," one posted and another wrote, "Saw Trish Stratus trending and thought she said some racist sh*t but it’s just people remembering how sexy she is."
"I really want Trish Stratus to hit me with the Stratusfaction," one fan posted and another said, "Everyone lusting after Trish Stratus with her old photos, like bruh do you see how incredibly hot she is currently." Another worried fan said, "My heart literally dropped when I saw Trish Stratus trending. Thank god it’s just people acknowledging a legend." Even now, people love how incredibly gorgeous she is. "Can we talk about how Trish Stratus ages like wine?" one tweet read.
Acknowledging all she's done, one fan said, "7 Time women’s Champion, 2-time hardcore champion, Diva of the decade, 3-time ‘babe of the year’ award, Hosted music awards, Appeared in many sitcoms and commercials. Trish Stratus is the Blueprint." Another one said, "The way Trish Stratus is trending in 2020 ...we love to see it."
Many WWE fans were concerned. One said, "Me rushing to twitter to see if Trish Stratus is okay after finding out she is trending," and another wrote, "Saw Trish Stratus was trending and thought something happened to my girl." Another fan posted, "Let's all take a moment and recognize Trish Stratus, one of the greatest of all time. Thank you, Trish!"
