'Tough As Nails': Linnett is eliminated from individual challenges, can she redeem herself in other tasks?
'Tough As Nails' saw American heroes coming together in one place and using their skills to win the game. With a cash prize of $200,000 waiting for them at the end of the competition, everyone was all set to go head-on against one other. While they all were divided into two teams, when it came to individual challenges, they knew that every one of them was looking out for themselves.
The first individual challenge had the contestants doing some heavy lifting as it was time for them to pick some coals and fill up a big basket. After a lot of grueling efforts, Young An and Linnett Key were the ones at the bottom and they had to do overtime to still be in the race for the individual challenge. To show their worth, the duo was given the task of untangling three tools that were chained. Young and Linnett had to use the pump cart to go to the place where the tools were chained, untangle them, come back and keep them in the place that was set for them. To make sure they unchained all the tools, the pair had to make three rounds.
As tiring as it may sound, Young and Linnett knew they had to put all their energy on the line to make sure they won because $200,000 was at stake. Both Young and Linnett belonged to the same team but knew this was an individual challenge and they had to focus on themselves. The person who would lose was going to be out of the individual challenge forever and thus, was going to lose the change of winning the prize. However, they would continue to take part in the group challenges.
As the task started, Young was quick to push his cart and managed to unchain the first tool easily. However, when the chance to unchain the second tool came, Lennett put all her girl power energy into it and managed to unchain it before Young. However, Young overtook Linnett on his way and was up and running before anyone knew it. He managed to beat her in the third task and save his spot in the individual challenge.
Unfortunately, this meant that Linnett was out of the individual challenge forever but she still had a shot at winning some money in the group challenge. Can she redeem herself there? 'Tough as Nails' airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on CBS.
