Tottenham Hotspurs and Jose Mourinho have made no secret of the fact that they want a trophy this season. And that will be on their minds when they take on Everton in their 2020 season opener. The Spurs had a woeful first half of 2019 that saw their long-serving manager, Mauricio Pochettino, sacked and opened the door for Mourinho. The results were out there as they finished sixth after starting 14th. Carlo Ancelotti has been optimistic about Everton's chances this time, but they will face a stern test against Mourinho's men.

Time

The match is slated to start at 12.30 pm ET on Saturday, September 12. 2020

Venue

The teams will take on each other at Anfield, Liverpool's home turf.

Where to watch?

Fans can watch the match live on NBCSN.

How to live stream?

The Premier League matches can be live-streamed on NBC's new streaming service, Peacock and on NBCSports.com. Peacock will showcase 175 live matches throughout the season. In addition, it will also have full-game replays available on-demand for all slated 380 matches of the 2020-21 season. These replays will be available after 9 pm ET the day of the match, according to Cnet. Fans can even watch the game on fuboTV.

Pre-buzz around the match

Harry Winks' fitness is a concern for Mourinho. Since the time he arrived, Winks has been a consistent starter. Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min are their superstars and the onus is on them to fire from game one. As far as the head-to-head record goes, the Spurs have dominated as Everton have lost their last 15 games against the side. James Rodriguez, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan are most likely starters for Everton as well. Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Mason Holgate are on the injured list.

Who will win?

The Spurs are a more confident unit and if the Amazon series, 'All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur' was any indication, these guys are serious about their new season. With the side more or less sorted and plenty of options on the bench, a win over Everton might just be the start they will be looking for.
