A few hours after Tory Lanez posted that he is finally going to address the shooting incident with female rapper Megan Thee Stallion, the 28-year-old hip-hop artist posted another tweet where he did address the controversy but with a twist. The American rapper dropped a surprise 17-track album along with the cover art of the album to speak on the entire matter.

His latest tweet read, “There is a time to stay silent . And a time to speak ..... I said all I could say on this ... ALL PLATFORMS ...  ..... #DAYSTAR ... I’ll be back to y’all soon .... respectfully ....”

The ‘Say It’ hit-maker has titled his new record as ‘Daystar.’ The announcement actually came as a shocker to his fans as he did not even give any hint as to why he kept himself completely isolated from all his social media accounts. The cover art of the album features what is being assumed to be the childhood photo of the rapper. The kid in the cover picture is holding a black suitcase as a strong camera flashlight falls on his face.

Talking about the songs, this is what the tracklist of the brand new surprise album looks like:

‘Money Over Fallouts’
 ‘In the Air’
‘Care for You’
‘Jokes on Me’
‘Just Got It Done’
‘Things I Should of Said’
‘Bittersweet’
‘Life’ featuring Yoko Gold
‘Solar Drive @ Night’
‘What's Kulture??’
‘Queen and Slim’
‘Look How God Works’
‘The Most High’
‘A Poem From Me 2 You’
‘Sorry But I Had to...’ featuring Yoko Gold
‘Friends Become Strangers’
‘A Woman’

Interestingly, Tory has addressed the shooting incident with Megan Thee Stallion on his entire album. In the song ‘Money Over Fallouts’ he goes like, “How you get shot in the foot and it ain’t hit no bones or tendons?” In another song called ‘Friends Become Strangers,” he alludes to his private conversations with Megan and reverts to her claims about the night of the alleged shooting. He raps, “We both know what happened that night and what I did.”

The moment his followers got to know about his project, they logged into Twitter to speak on how he used Megan to promote his new album. One user posted a funny video and tweeted, “Megan when she Catch Tory Lanez” One user posted, “Bro, all this Tory Lanez shit shows is that we gotta do better to protect black women. This n**** really popped Meg & used the backlash to promote a project. The fact that this N***a McNugget sat in the studio with his feet dangling off a stool thinkin this was alright is sick.”

Another slammed the rapper and shared, “It really makes me sick to my stomach to see that black men & women are still supporting tory lanez..” One social media user asserted, “So tory lanes trolled niggas saying hed talk about what happened with a Megan la stallion just to drop an abulm tonite and have yall thinking he was going to let yall know what happend..bahaha im logging off”

Tory’s new album is available on SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube.

The rapper finally mustered the courage to address his shooting incident with the female rapper back in July. The Canadian rapper logged into this Twitter account to make the big announcement where he apologized for his silence and then revealed that he has got some time today to speak on the matter when nobody had a hint that he will be dropping an album.

His earlier tweet read, “To my fans ... I’m sorry for my silence .... but respectfully .. I got time today ...... 9 PM PST.”

The American artist had completely isolated himself from all his social media accounts until now whereas, Megan, who got injured in the shooting incident, has addressed the issue several times on social media.

It will be interesting to see if Megan reverts with a song or an album. Is this the beginning of another beef between the two artists? Whatever will be the updates, we will keep you posted. Watch this space for more.
