The Toronto Blue Jays will meet the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park for a five-game series. The last time both sides met, it was a 1-1 scoreline after game 3 was postponed. The Blue Jays are currently placed third in the AL East table below the New York Yankees while the Tampa Bay Rays are perched on top. The Red Sox find themselves at the bottom of the table with 12 wins and 25 losses. Here's everything you need to know ahead of the start of the series on September 3.

Time

The game is scheduled to start at 7.30 pm ET on Thursday, September 3, 2020.

Venue

Both sides will meet at Fenway Park, Boston, MA, the home turf of the Red Sox.

Where to watch?

The game will be televised live on SportsNet-1 and NESN. Fans can listen to the live commentary on SN590, WEEI 93.7 and WCCM 1490 AM/103.7 FM.

How to live stream?

Fans can catch the game on MLB.TV as well as the My Stream App. MLB.TV is still the most preferred app as it comes with a slashed price of $59.99 keeping in mind the shortened season. A complete subscription provides viewers with access to the full regular season, the playoffs, and the World Series. Other options that viewers can look for is YouTube TV that gives access to ESPN, ESPN2, Fox, FS1, MLB Network and TBS at $64.99. Hulu and fuboTV have some similar options available.

Pre-game buzz

Toronto will be hoping to end their losing streak as they take on the Red Sox. Teoscar Hernandez has been their homer-man with 12 hits out of the park to his name. Ken Giles is on the injury list and will be most likely sitting out of the series. Taijuan Walker will be the starting pitcher for the Blue Jays. The Red Sox have been completely out of sorts this season and have lost six of their last 10 games. According to Winners and Whiners, Infielder Xander Bogaerts leads Boston with eight homers and a team-leading 23 RBI this season. Outfielder Andrew Benintendi finds himself on the injury list.

Who will win?

With both sides looking to get some wins under their belt, Toronto still looks the better outfit as far as their recent records go, despite the end result. They have been good in patches and will look to make use of the absences of players in the Boston camp. At this stage, we'll go with the Blue Jays to draw first blood.
