Another season of 'Top Gear' comes to a close on BBC America and despite being a crisp five-episode season, the popular automobile show managed to churn out an exciting edition in spite of the coronavirus pandemic that ground productions of shows and movies across the world to a screeching halt. With no international travel, the episodes were shot across the United Kingdom and also featured an emotional tribute to the legendary racing driver, Sir Stirling Moss.

The usual drag races and car tests were part of Season 29 and hopefully as the world slowly limps back to normalcy, there will be more episodes in the next edition of 'Top Gear'. Here's what we know about Season 30 so far:

Release date

Although there is no release date officially confirmed by BBC America, we can be sure the new season would premiere in 2021. With the pandemic, Season 29 had to be cut short and premiered in October in the United States. Watch this space for more updates on the release date.

Presenters

Chris Harris

(BBC America)

Harris had an extensive racing career. Some of the racing cars he has driven include a Porsche 911 Cup, Renault Sport R.S. 01, Aston Martin Vantage GT12, Van Diemen FF1600, Rover SD1, and a Jaguar E-Type. The 45-year-old is one of the most noted personalities in the automobile circuit.

He has had stints as a reviewer, writer and editor for automotive magazines, including Evo, Autocar, and Jalopnik. In addition, he has presented numerous television and YouTube series. This will be the third series to feature Harris as one of the presenters alongside McGuiness and Flintoff.

Freddie Flintoff

(BBC America)

Outside of the show, Flintoff is a television personality and a former English international cricketer. He was announced as part of the host panel in 2018. Flintoff has become a fan-favorite for his quick quips and his daredevilry on the show. Episode 1 of 'Top Gear' Season 28 had three segments— a good ol' summer vacation on convertibles, the review of the Ariel Atom 4 and a bungee jump off a dam in Switzerland. Season 29 saw him do some heartbeat-skipping drives on the 'Wall of Death'

Paddy McGuinness

(Getty Images)

From crashing a Lamborghini to reinventing an ice-cream truck, Paddy has done it all in Season 5. One of the funniest dudes on the show, McGuiness has built a reputation for being a master behind the wheel and an automotive genius. He has been with the show since Season 27 and will be back for another season with Harris and Flintoff.

Director/Producer

Nick Dalton serves as the producer with Alex Renton and Clare Pizey coming in as Executive Producers.

Trailer

There is no trailer yet for Season 30, but with the production across the world resuming, it shouldn't be long before we get a look at another action-packed trailer.
