For all those who had their eyes set on the next season of these shows, 2019 brought heartbreaking news. Just know you are not alone because we too were sad to hear they would not be making a return next year. These are the 10 biggest shows that were canceled this year. 

10. Murphy Brown reboot

Fans were eagerly waiting for the reboot to come to their screens but unfortunately, it failed to impress many. The original 'Murphy Brown' had won the hearts of millions and hence, there were high expectations of the reboot. However, it did not showcase its full potential as many fans were disappointed that the reboot did not come close to what the original show was. 

9. Fuller House

'Fuller House' was another reboot fans had their eyes set on. Netflix brought in excitement when they announced a 'Full House' reboot will be coming to their streaming channel. However, after the first season, many viewers thought the show was not as good as the original. Despite this, the show was able to survive for five seasons but Netflix finally decided to end the show once and for all. 

8. One Day At A Time

'One Day At A Time'  followed three generations of a Cuban-American family but their humorous outlook to life was not enough for them to last another season. Viewers seemed to slide away from the show after the first season.

Later, it was announced that Netflix had decided to drop the show. However, there might be some hope for fans of the show as it is expected the show could be picked by another streaming site. 

7. Santa Clarita Diet

The first two seasons of the show made viewers crave for more episodes but they were not impressed with the plot the third season offered. Viewers were disappointed by the third season of the show. Netflix decided to drop the show and say goodbye to season four.

6. Designated Survivor

'Designated Survivor' impressed the fans with its season 1 but the remaining two seasons saw a drop in audience viewership. A majority of fans chose not to stream season 2 and 3 as the show did not deliver what they had expected. Finally, Netflix decided to drop the show without a season 4. 

5. Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists

Fans of 'Pretty Little Liars' were all geared up for 'Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists' to make its debut. The show saw some of the old cast members which made fans eager for season 1 to air. However, unlike 'Pretty Little Liars', the show failed to find a place in fans' hearts and was canceled after the first season. 

4. Chambers

'Chambers' was canceled after its first season as it failed to impress audiences, as well as the critics. The first season premiered with 10 episodes and even though there were quite a few takers for the show, there weren't enough to make it survive for another season. 

3. For The People

'For The People' was an enjoyable lawsuit drama but unfortunately, it did not impress enough to survive more than two seasons. Fans were eager for season 2 after the first had them glued to the screen but things took a different turn and the show was finally canceled. 

2. The Gifted

'The Gifted' could survive only two seasons. The superhero story had fans excited when it made its debut but as time passed, people lost their interest. The show failed to impress and was ultimately canceled after two seasons.

'Lethal Weapon' was canceled after three seasons. The show managed to stay afloat but its survival seemed shaky even after the show added a new character. Unfortunately, there was nothing the show could do to impress its audience which finally led to its cancelation.
