Tommy Lee vows to leave US if Trump wins election, Internet says take 'Bette Midler and Joy Behar with you'
Motley Crue's drummer Tommy Lee has vowed that he will leave USA if President Donald Trump wins the presidency in November. The 58-year-old spoke to The Big Issue and revealed that he would head back to Greece, where he was born, should Trump win the election. While speaking to the publication, he said, "Dude, I swear to god if that happens then I’m coming over to visit the UK I’m out of here."
"I’ll go back to my motherland, go back to go Greece, and get a house on one of the islands," Lee added. He said that Trump is making America look bad to other countries all over the world. "The thing that stings the most is that I feel like we’re embarrassing," Lee said.
"I feel like people in Europe and the rest of the world look at America and think: ‘What the f**k are you guys doing over there? Stop voting for celebrities and get someone real to run the country," he continued. This is not the first time that Lee has called out Trump and his administration.
Many social media users seemed to encourage Lee to move away and some even suggested he take a few people with him. One such social media user had written, "He can take Bette Midler, Meathead, all of the Arquettes, and Joy Behar with him."
Another user shared, "If you don’t leave November 4 you should be deported! That way maybe all you celebrities who say this can get their wish. I even believe it should be part of the Covid-19 Relief Bill." Yet another social media user commented, "Start packing your bags NOW Tommy. Trump is going to win in a landslide. We expect you to keep your word and move out of the United States. Don’t be a liar."

"That’s be great. But if you actually do you’d be the first celebrity to actually follow through with it. You won’t be missed," commented another social media user. While another who echoed the same sentiments chimed in and shared, "He could have just left and nobody would have even noticed he was gone. I saw the headline and thought it was about the actor, Tommy Lee Jones. Haha! I didn't even know who Tommy Lee was."

This is not the first time that Lee has criticized Trump and his administration. Just earlier this month, when Trump and his wife Melania tested positive for Covid-19, Lee took to Twitter to talk about "karma." He retweeted Trump's post where he announced his Covid-19 diagnosis and wrote, "Can you say 'Karma Gods have spoken?'" He also slammed Trump for mishandling the coronavirus pandemic and retweeted a letter written by Craig Alan Wilkins which ridiculed Trump.

Back in 2018, the drummer had slammed Trump for his response to the California wildfires which killed dozens of people. At the time, Lee had said, "Can you be anymore insensitive you f-----g moron."
During his current interview with The Big Issue, he spoke about getting back on the stage and play new music. "I can just imagine what it’s going to be like being on stage with that many people and that energy when it’s OK to be together again," Lee said. "It’s going to be priceless – that kind of energy I’m probably never going to see again in my lifetime. Can you imagine what that’s going to be like?"
