Ever since Tom Hanks revealed that he has tested positive for coronavirus, fans grew concerned about how the actor had been doing. A couple of weeks after the diagnosis, Hanks revealed that he was back in the US from Australia and was going to quarantine at home with his wife, Rita Wilson.

While several headlines reported that Hanks was doing much better, people were dying to see the actor back in action. Thanks to 'Saturday Night Live', Hanks made an appearance on the screen and assured everyone that he was doing perfectly fine. The actor made sure that he addressed the coronavirus diagnosis. He admitted that he was the first celebrity that left the world concerned about his diagnosis.

He further added that he was more like America's dad now more than ever because no one wanted to be around him for long. Despite this, he assured his fans that he is doing much better now and is all set to host 'SNL' in the best way possible. He admitted that he was dressed in a suit for the first time since March 11 because his time in quarantine is usually spent walking around in his sweatpants.

He said he was so lax that it went to the extent that he even forgot how to button his shirt. He admitted that his wife had to show him how to button his shirt. Hanks also admitted that life was very different and watching SNL from home would be a strange experience but confessed that everyone would try to do their best.

While he admitted that there was no Saturday anymore, he tried his best to bring the SNL feel into the picture by asking questions to the crowd. Pretending to be one of the audience, Hanks asked himself how he remained fit. Hanks pretended to be flattered and revealed that he does some stretching and stays away from cookies and carbs.

Meanwhile, another crowd member was eager to know his relationship with vegemite after the picture he shared online received a lot of attention for the amount of vegemite he put on his bread. He admitted that he has had enough of it and decided to move away from the conversation.

Hanks ended his monologue by assuring people that this will pass and thanked all those people who have been on the frontline to help people.
