TLC’s 'I Love A Mama's Boy' is a show about an unusually close relationship between mother and son which can sometimes make a viewer uncomfortable. The show follows the stories of four couples and how the girlfriends are trying to gain acceptance from their boyfriend's mothers. One such couple is Emily and Shekeb.

The official Twitter account of TLC Network has posted a preview of the next and final episode of the season that would focus on the story of Emily and Shekeb. The caption said, “Shekeb: "So, I took the quarantine time to actually figure out what I really want in life..." Laila: "Like what?"” Sharing an exchange between the couple. “Will Shekeb and Emily's relationship survive this moment? Find out on the SEASON FINALE of #ILoveAMamasBoy this Sunday at 10/9c!”

In the preview see Shekeb took his mom outside for a ride and then to a cafe for some tea. Laila seemed to enjoy her time outside and made plans with her son to go to the beach. Little did she know that Shekeb had invited another guest to their little tea party. Shekeb told his mom that he wanted Emily in his life and she should accept it. Laila said every time he talks about Emily her blood pressure goes up.

She further said to the confession camera that she knows what was best for her son and she doesn’t see him with Emily. “I don’t trust, I don’t like and I don’t see Shekeb with her,” said the mom. Laila told his son he should take Emily out of the picture and if he was going to get together with Emily he wouldn't be getting her blessings. With Laila’s words, “I am your mom, I know what is best for you,” Emily makes her entry. She asks Shekeb if he had told his mother about it (implying the fact that they were going to move in together.) Laila seemed flabbergasted asking, “Tell what?”

Viewers of the show feel Shekeb was trying to make both the ladies happy as they wrote, “He’s trying to make both of them happy, which is impossible to do, so he needs to choose his girlfriend over his mom, his mom needs to get over it and find some hobbies.” While another wrote, “Emily should’ve ran along time ago. Actually all these ladies should’ve given them all an ultimatum! Besides these boys think that it’s the same love.. it’s not.” Another comment said, “Emily should put on her PF Flyers and run like the wind. Any man that attached to his mother when she is that rude and obnoxious needs to just stay by Momma's side until the end. He has no right to ask anybody to put up with that BS.”
