'Titans' Season 2 Episode 4 'Aqualad' will reveal team's history with Deathstroke and the events that led to them falling apart
Since the very first season, 'Titans' has hinted at a dark past for Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) and his friends that turned them into the grim warriors that they are today. Now in Season 2's fourth episode, we're finally going to get some answers to what caused such a terrible change in our young heroes and all we know for sure is that it has something to do with Deathstroke (Esai Morales).
Dick's first Titans team consisted of Donna Troy (Conor Leslie), Hank Hall/Hawk (Alan Ritchson), Dawn Granger/Dove (Minka Kelly), and Garth/Aqualad (Drew Van Acker). They were a happy bunch, a family even. And then Deathstroke happened.
In the first three episodes of the second season, Dick's old team members have been quite angry at him for restarting the Titans with Jason Todd/Robin (Curran Walters), Rachel Roth/Raven (Teagan Croft), and Gar Logan/Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) and even more angry about him bringing Deathstroke's daughter Rose Wilson (Chelsea Zhang) to Titans Tower.
Both Donna and Hank have hinted at a past encounter with Deathstroke that caused lasting physical and psychological damage to the team. The Titans clearly have skeletons in their closet and Episode 4 will be bringing them out into the light.
The episode, titled 'Aqualad', will be a flashback to the time when the team was still together. It will be showing us a simpler time when the team was still together, fighting crime and exploring their youth as a family, and the crucial moments that led to them losing everything and becoming the bitter, disillusioned individuals they are now.
'Titans' stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove, Conor Leslie as Donna Troy, Chelsea Zhang as Rose Wilson, Chella Man as Jericho, and Esai Morales as Deathstroke.
'Titans' Season 2 Episode 4 'Aqualad' will be available for streaming exclusively on DC Universe on Friday, September 27.
