Joe Exotic's ex-husband John Finlay is unrecognizable in full set of teeth, transformation has fans amazed
Fans of Netflix's smash-hit documentary series 'Tiger King' are raving about the transformation of John Finlay, the ex-husband of incarcerated antagonist Joe Exotic.
'Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness' released on the streaming platform on March 20 and focused on the US' small and exclusive communities of big cat conservationists and collectors.
The show primarily focused on the rivalry between Joe Exotic, a collector, and Carole Baskin, a conservationist, while simultaneously chronicling the former's eccentric and unconventional relationships. One of those relationships was with Finlay, who became instantly recognizable because of his signature shirtless look and a "meth mouth" that he had developed because of his addiction to the drug.
However, it appears that Finlay has put all those days behind him, and in a new episode of the show where stars of 'Tiger King;' were interviewed about their life after the series, he showed off a new set of dentures and a brand new look that had fans in a frenzy.
The episode was hosted by 'Community' star Joel McHale, who marveled at Finlay's remarkable transformation after the former drug addict complained about his portrayal in the show and said he had been made to look like a "drugged-out hillbilly."
"You look like a character out of a... a mythical cowboy [film]," McHale commented, much to Finlay's delight.
Finlay had been involved in a "throuple" with Exotic and another man, Travis Maldonado, who killed himself during the shooting of the documentary, and revealed he had gone on to find love with a woman after his former husband had been jailed on a murder-for-hire plot.
The ex-zoo staffer, now six years sober, said his life after the show has been nothing like what it was in it. Finlay, 35, now lives with his fiancée Stormey in Oklahoma
"I used to have a lot of pent up negative thoughts and bad aura about myself. I just quit thinking about the past and the negative stuff that's happened to me...," he said.
"It's time to really think about the kids and my future and stuff and use this thing for something good not just to be, 'Hey, I have a personal gain now. It's all about me. 'It's not all about me. It's about other people too."
And Finlay is not the only one who is proud of his change, with netizens on social media showering him with praise for his transformation.
