'T.I. & Tiny': Tip hints his cheating scandal with Asia'h Epperson made his relationship with Tiny stronger
'T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle' returned for its third season and it's looking good so far. Tip 'T.I.' and Tameka 'Tiny' Harris are back in the bay, looking happy and focussed on their married life. Now that most of their seven children are out of the house, the couple is left with only Major, King and Heiress to look after and that has given them a whole new purpose.
"Me and Tip are in a very good place these days. Everything’s better than ever, actually. We’ve been really in love — old school love, like back in the day. Like, I just met you type of love," Tiny said of their repaired relationship. Even though the pair seems to be in a happy space at the moment, they have had to brave quite the scandal in the past.
A couple of years ago, Tip made headlines for a cheating scandal that turned his world upside down. He was involved with 'Greenleaf' actress Asia’h Epperson, who, however, denied it later and blamed it on Tip for overstepping boundaries despite being a married man. Online footage of Tip smacking Asia'h's butt and kissing her on the neck at a concert backstage wrecked his blissful marital life with Tiny.
"He smacked me on the butt! I didn’t know I had control over that man's choices. We are friends and he shouldn’t have done that. That was too touch-feely and flirty for a married man. Had no idea that was about to happen. Wrong place wrong time… I guess I was supposed to turn around and smack him? Start a whole ‘me too’ movement!!? Confused on the reaction the public expected me to have in that moment," the actress shared on Instagram.
Even though the cracks in Tip and Tiny's marriage were more than visible and appeared unfixable, the couple came back stronger. But do we know for sure if the scandal won't come back to haunt their freshly-repaired relationship? For now, it looks all good in the Harris household.
In tonight's episode, Tip said how he was having a great time in his marriage and that whatever happened between the two didn't break them. "Trial and error has been my mentor. I’m happy for people to see some of my transgressions and some of the things we’ve gone through. They saw that that didn’t break us," he added.
