The DC Universe is about to get just a little bigger. A fan contest called 'DCYou Unscripted' invited pitches from over a thousand DC fans for ideas for a new DC television series. The top three finalists have been announced and the pilots for their shows will be aired on the DC Universe streaming app in the spring - with one of their shows winning the prize of a series order.

'DCYou Unscripted' was made in collaboration with Ideas United. In two-episode special on DC Universe's 'DC Daily', the original 10 finalists got to hone their pitches with industry veterans Dan Evans, Vice President, Creative Affairs and Creative Services, DC; Bridgette Theriault, Senior Vice President, Development, Telepictures and Phil Jimenez, DC Writer and Artist. Following this, they pitched their show ideas to a panel of judges that included DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, DC Publisher Dan DiDio and Stage 13 Senior Vice President and General Manager Diana Mogollon.

DC's listing for the top three finalists and their pitches reads as follows:

"- Molly Brady (Los Angeles): Three cosplayers will show off their craft and creativity as they compete for honor, glory, cash and prizes.

- Royce Miller (Bridgewater, SD): Eight teams take on roles as hench persons to Gotham's most notorious Rogues. Their goal? To escape the dreaded Blackgate Penitentiary and its new Warden. With enough mazes, puzzles, and traps to impress even the Riddler.

- Elora Powell (Tigard, OR): Comic book fans travel to beloved comic book stores in local neighborhoods to investigate how these shops provide inclusive, fun communities for geeks in real life."

From cosplay to comic book stores, the pitches cater to a range of interests to comic book fans everywhere. The final winner of 'DCYou Unscripted' will be announced later this year, after all three pilots have aired.
