We all have loved watching Chris Hemsworth as the god of thunder in the Thor films franchise set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the past decade. But not everyone might know what is a Mjolnir. For those who are unaware, Mjolnir is Thor’s iconic weapon which can only be lifted by superheroes who are worthy of deeming it. It is an important part of Thor’s celestial life as a God which has been seen in all the Marvel comics and films. Fans' excitement is at its peak now since one of most awaited films of the year, ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’, has released in theaters. The film has been helmed by Taika Waititi.

Fans can now also enjoy this holy weapon loaded with popcorn and use it as a snacking vessel while enjoying watching the biggest fantasy adventure saga of this year, ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’, in the theaters.

Promotional popcorn buckets have been common in Japan and has been seen within Disney parks for years. And this trend is slowly becoming more normal and also highly promoted in American theaters. Interestingly, Marvel has especially curated and dropped customized ones for many of its recent tentpole films that also include ‘Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness’.

With the release of ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ in theaters that is a part of MCU, Thor has become one of the most loved and iconic superheroes with four solo films based on him. Even as the avid Marvel fans are eagerly waiting to watch the film, this is also real that they all have been feeling captivated and also enticed by a new popcorn bucket that the theater chain AMC has introduced in order to promote the movie.

The newly designed bucket exactly looks like Mjölnir, which is Thor's hammer, wherein the metal part of the hammer has been conceptualized and made into a holder for all the popcorn you could want. These buckets will be made available at all participating AMC venues. The bucket’s cost has been set at $39.99 which is slightly expensive but, you also get a serving of large popcorn for that price.

Fans can pre-order these hammers until July 17, but after that they are gone for good. The pre-ordered hammers will be delivered this fall, meaning fans will not have the popcorn container when they see ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ in theaters. The Mjolnir popcorn container is only available at the AMC Theaters Movie Merchandise online store for $39.99 until July 17th. It stands over 16" tall x 10" wide x 6.5" deep and is made of tin and plastic.

As soon as AMC posted this promotional tweet on their Twitter handle, fans started giving in their reactions to the same.

“$40???? I better have Thor’s power to call in lightning”, said a fan. “My theater sold out right before we got there! I’m glad because I know I would’ve got it!”, a fan noted. “4:30pm on a Thursday & @AMCTheatres is packed!!! I had to run by today & pick up my #ThorLoveAndThunder #AMC exclusive Mjölnir collectible! Can’t wait to see this movie this weekend! $AMC”, a fan said. “My theater was sold out by the time the previews stopped rolling at the 3pm showing. I just went ahead and pre-ordered here since I didn't want the popcorn anyhow. A PSA for my fellow space vikings out there!”, added another user.

Plot of the film is about how Thor is tired of being a God and wants to start his journey for attaining inner peace and calm. All set to retire and finally to embark living life for himself without caring for others, his retirement plan gets badly interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a menacing villainous killer who wants to kill all gods and poses a threat on earth and its people.
