Thomas Ravenel has not been fired from 'Southern Charm' amidst assault allegations
It looks like Thomas Ravenel's days on the show 'Southern Charm' are not over despite reports which claim that he was fired from the hit Bravo show amidst sexual assault allegations.
As reported by PEOPLE, a source shared that the reality TV star Ravenel still has his job for now. "No decision has been made yet and the investigation is still ongoing," the source shared. Rumors that Ravenel was fired started after he was accused of sexual assault by multiple women.
The 55-year-old reality star has been a key cast member of the show since season 1 itself with his relationship with his ex Kathryn Dennis and the birth of two of his children being played out on screen.
During the month of May, it was revealed that the South Carolina police were investigating allegations of sexual assault brought against the 'Southern Charm' by the family nanny whose name is Dawn. The nanny was also featured on the show and was seen as caring for Ravenel's two children, Kensie and Saint.
Dawn claimed that Ravenel attempted to kiss her after coming back from a night out with his friends. "I told him ‘this isn’t appropriate. I work for you.’ He then hugged me as an alternative. I had baby bottles in my hands, so I couldn’t hug him. It felt like he was putting his weight on me," she revealed.
"I went upstairs to get my jacket which had the key to my vehicle in the pocket. I was corralled into the master bedroom and he shut the door behind me. I turned around and he had his pants dropped, not wearing underwear. He was blocking the door. I was mortified, embarrassed, and scared," she continued.
Amidst all the chaos and rumors, Ravenel and Dennis decided to celebrate the weekend together with a dance party for their children. Ravenel took to Instagram to post the family event and footage of him and his ex Dennis singing along to Britney Spear's 1998 hit, 'Baby one more time'. He captioned the video, "Kathryn & I having fun on Sunday with the kids."
Thomas frequently shares photographs and posts of his children and Ravenel's latest post was the first one in a long time that featured Kathryn. From the video, it was evident that Ravenel's girlfriend Ashley Jacobs.
For the past couple, 'Southern Charm' audiences have watched Dennis and Ravenel's bumpy relationship including a vicious custody battle which resulted in Dennis losing custody of her kids after she failed to pass a drug test in the year 2016.
"I’m in a good place. I’m never attaching myself to those old feelings," she said about her sobriety and finally reaching an agreement with Ravenel.
