Thomas Bates seeks 179 days imprisonment for Orianne for failing to pay rent of leased $340k Aston Martin
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Thomas Bates, 33, a former male escort, has filed a motion in his bitter divorce proceeding seeking that his wife Orianne, 49, be imprisoned for nearly six months. Citing contempt of court, he said that Orainne, ex-wife of 72-year-old retired music icon Phil Collins, failed to make up past-due rent payments for his leased $340,000 Aston Martin despite the judge's order to do so, and instead fled to Europe.
Orainne, according to his counsel, has "not paid a penny" and keeps "thumbing her nose" at the Broward County Circuit Court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Daily Mail reported. 'Instead of complying with the court's order, the wife flew to Paris and then jetted to Switzerland for the holidays, posting extremely "filtered" photographs of herself and her children all over the internet, proudly displaying her carefree lifestyle,' Bates's attorney Deborah Bianchi Tracht wrote.

Husband request wife be held for 179 days
"Simultaneously herewith, the husband is filing a motion for writ for issuance of a writ of bodily arrest…," the attorney added as per the report. "Husband requests that wife be held in contempt and that she be incarcerated in the Broward County jail for one hundred and seventy nine (179) days or until further order of this court or until she pays the purge amount totally the full amount past due on the Aston Martin."
Orianne had previously sought that Bates return the 2021 supercar due to her "dire financial straits," but, according to court documents seen by the outlet, she has been ordered to make up the payments four times. It has a James Bond-style TB 007 license plate and costs an incredible $6,594.40 a month to lease.
Orainne had promised to make payments
The outlet notes that the battle of the Aston Martin is just one drop of the continuing vitriol from both sides in a divorce fight now entering its 15th month. According to Bates, Orianne requested that he lease a $340,000 Aston Martin for $6,500 a month in order to emulate James Bond. It even had TB 007-numbered registration plates. But now he is suing her for unpaid automobile costs.
Former tribute band guitarist Bates alleges he was compelled to sign the automobile lease at a Miami dealership and that Orianne had promised to make the payments. Bates had tried unsuccessfully to pursue a music career in Los Angeles prior to his secret wedding.
The Genesis legend Phil awarded the Swiss-born jewelry designer a $47 million settlement during their divorce in 2008. But, after reconciling with him in 2015, she lost a bid for part of his $40 million Miami Beach estate. She then astonishingly moved in there with Bates before the couple was kicked out.
'Unfortunately, the wife has hit the wall'
Orianne's attorneys have attacked Bates during the battle, writing: "The husband has not only siphoned funds from the wife, but the wife is now heavily encumbered and has limited cash flow. She has been relying on assets to meet expenses."Unfortunately, the wife has hit the wall."
