Student sells videos of herself sneezing and nose-picking to cover her university fees and men actually pay hundreds of dollars per clip
Viewers of 'This Morning' were left feeling nauseous after an art student appeared on the show to speak about how she filmed herself sneezing for fetish videos.
During an appearance on the ITV daytime show, 19-year-old Abi Haywood flaunted a special gadget that helps her sneeze at the click of a button, which she then records and sells to enthusiasts at a price, Daily Mail reports.
According to the teenager, she started working on the sneezing project as part of her art course in Leeds. She soon discovered the lucrative potential of the same and went on to earn £600 in a span of few months — more than enough to fund her living expenses.
However, Haywood's unconventional hobby left some viewers disgusted. One Twitter user reportedly said that "we're all doomed if this is what our kids aspire to [do]."
"I've just had to switch off.. the sneezing fetish feature is disgusting... almost threw up," tweeted another disappointed viewer.
"What have I actually just watched? People getting paid for filming sneezing, snotting and picking their nose! Were all doomed if this is what our kids aspire to today[sic]," another commenter wrote.
"I've actually just vomited watching that sneezing video. Why would you show the snot hanging out of her nose (I have a snot phobia)," one enraged viewer fumed.
"Is this for real or has the world gone mad? Why would anyone want to watch someone sneeze?" asked one viewer, unable to believe what he saw.
But Haywood told 'This Morning' that she needed to fund her living costs despite living rent-free with her grandmother.
When she tried working a part-time job at a gallery while balancing her studies, she deemed it was "too exhausting."
However, she realized the business potential of her unusual hobby after posting a sneezing video on her YouTube channel Snotty B****.
In a previous conversation with Daily Mail, Haywood said she started charging customers as she needed "a safety net" and wanted to pay off her expensive school fees.
According to her, she charges a premium if her client's request is specific, asking her to "include her feet, talk or film in public."
She also revealed on the daytime talk show she was once tempted by an offer of £5,000 for sex.
"I was tempted, I wouldn’t have to work all summer...I don’t think that should be stigmatized," she said of the sex work.
When asked about the effect her videos can have on her future, Haywood said she wasn't concerned.
"I want to be an artist. I don’t think it matters," she replied. "It was part of my work. It was about voyeurism."
