'They'd kill me': Tom Brady rules out NFL return, jokes his family wouldn't be happy if he changes his mind
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Brady has made it clear that he has no intention of returning to the NFL.
The legendary quarterback, who retired for good in February 2023, joked that his family would not be happy if he ever changed his mind.
“I am not coming out of retirement,” Brady said on his 'Lets Go!' podcast on Monday, October 9.
“My parents would call, my kids would call. They’d kill me. I wouldn’t be around by tonight,” he added, according to OK! Magzine.

Tom Brady reveals how he lost 10 pounds since retirement
Brady also shared his weight loss and wellness journey on his podcast on Monday, September 25.
He said that he has been feeling fit and relaxed since he left the field. “I’m down about 10 pounds, but I’m actually very fit right now,” he said.
He added, “I haven’t had the stress that I had while I was playing so that’s allowed me to focus a little bit more on my physical health.”
Tom Brady prioritizes physical and mental health over everything else
Brady, in the previous podcast, further stated that he has been able to prioritize other aspects of his life as well such as his family, his friends, and his community.
Brady said that physical and mental health are the most important things for him.
“You could prioritize a lot of things: career, kids, relationships, family, greater good, community,” he said.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion added, “At the end of the day, physical and mental health should sit at the top of the pyramid. When we don’t have that, we have nothing.”

Brady’s decision to continue his professional football career reportedly strained his family life and led to the end of his 13-year marriage with Gisele Bundchen.
The couple announced their divorce in October 2022 during Brady’s last season. They have two children together — Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10.

Tom Brady expressed gratitude to his fans for supporting him throughout his career
Brady also expressed his gratitude to his fans who supported him throughout his remarkable career that earned him seven Super Bowl rings.
He thanked them in a video message that he posted on February 1, 2023, exactly one year after his first retirement announcement.
“I think you only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year. So, really, thank you guys, so much, to every single one of you, for supporting me,” he said.
“Thank you, guys, for letting me live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing. Love you all," he added.
