'They went into a corner': Megyn Kelly slams Republican candidates for not going after Joe Biden at third GOP debate
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former Fox News star Megyn Kelly called out Republican candidates for not using the podium of the third GOP Debate in Miami, Florida to “blame” President Joe Biden for his “border” policies and “sending money to Iran”
The 52-year-old was discussing the performances of the Republican candidates when she pointed out this missed opportunity.
Kelly claimed that the candidates should have submitted themselves to attack President Biden and in turn “make their every answer” about him.
Megyn Kelly slams GOP candidates for not calling out Joe Biden
Putting herself in the shoes of the GOP candidates, Kelly remarked, “If I was up there, I would try to make every answer about Joe Biden.”
She added, “If I had a point of disagreement with my fellow Republican up there, I would say, “Look, you know kind of like Vivek says like I feel real differently about Ukraine than these people do and this is why.” Fine. That’s fair and he should do that.”
Kelly then pivoted to the larger point and addressed how President Biden was not discussed by the candidates at all.
She suggested, “But for the most part I’d be like, “Let me tell you about Joe Biden”
The veteran journalist was shocked to see that none of the candidates spoke up against President Biden.
“How are they not freaking out on Joe Biden and the border? How are they not blaming him for all the money that we’ve given to Iran?”
Kelly lashed out at the GOP candidates stating that they would talk about Biden in “one-on-one interviews” but at the debate stage, “they went into a corner”
“They’ll say all this in a one-on-one interview but they get up there on stage and shrink into the smallest version of themselves”
