Whether you agree with it or not, one has to admit that OnlyFans has become a game-changer in the world of influencers. This weekly special feature will chart the ups and downs of some of the platform’s biggest celebs through the week as they take it off while keeping it switched on

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Have you ever wondered what it's like to realize your financial dreams overnight? And if it really happened, would you be able to handle it? These questions might appear easy to answer. Of course, who doesn't want the freedom to splurge in life and not look at a price tag ever again? Contrary to those who say "money cannot buy happiness," one could argue that it can actually serve the purpose to a degree -- you could buy your parents the house of their dreams, or even fund the most outlandish aspirations no matter how big or small.

Several OnlyFans stars have experienced a sudden flood of wealth and popularity. While some are able to handle it and further their own interests, others tend to mess up their lives beyond repair. This past week in OnlyFans brought stories of ups and downs, pros and cons, and choices that irrevocably change one's life for better or for worse.

OnlyFans model prepares for murder trial

A model and influencer who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death appeared in court on Monday, February 6, for her murder trial. Courtney Clenney, who goes by the name Courtney Tailor on social media, admitted to stabbing Christian Obumseli, but told investigators she was acting in self-defense.

While authorities initially agreed with the 26-year-old model's account, they changed their mind following an investigation and charged her with second-degree murder in December. The bloody incident took place at their home in Miami, Florida, on April 3 last year.

Investigators probing Obumseli's death found the couple had a history of violence. A Miami Police Department report alleged Courtney and Christian suffered "a tempestuous relationship since November of 2020, with multiple incidents of domestic violence from both sides over the period of their relationship," according to Newsweek.

Model uses OnlyFans to win mayoral election

While one's life is on a downward spiral, another has reached the heights of success. An OnlyFans model won the race for mayor in a state in Ecuador after being propelled to victory by her OnlyFans content. María Fernanda Vargas, popularly known as Mafer, is now mayor of the Simón Bolívar canton, in the Ecuadorian province of Guayas.

The bombshell new mayor reportedly owns a popular beauty salon and has a degree in journalism from the State University of Milagro. She recently found success in OnlyFans. And while it is unclear how much of Mafer's political victory can be credited to her following on the subscription-based platform, her opponents had claimed an adult entertainer wouldn't be taken seriously by her constituents. In the end, however, she collected half of the potential votes and won the election.

Mafer reportedly shut down her successful OnlyFans account in 2022, when she was beginning her mayoral campaign. She told the media that she ventured into the adult platform only to help finance her political aspirations. The model-turned-mayor explained that she wanted to be able to fund "my 10-strong team, as well as provide a living for my daughters and myself," as quoted by the Daily Star.

OnlyFans equestrian and her horse kicked out of stables

It takes a while to break through societal taboos and barriers - especially at a time when women are becoming self-sufficient doing whatever it takes. One horse rider has bemoaned how she and her horse were banned from a posh stable because she worked as an OnlyFans model. Honour Spencer, who makes more than $6,000 a month on the adult site, alleged she wa given 10 days for her horse Cherry to vacate the Marbury Equestrian Centre in Cheshire, on New Year's Eve.

Speaking to The Sun, Spencer said she was informed in a message after business partners and managers arrived at a decision. "You are a lovely person," the memo read. "However, unfortunately, we are not comfortable with the industry that you work in, which has been brought to my attention, and the different various people you have brought to the yard." The 27-year-old performer, however, feels discriminated against and has argued her line of work shouldn't define her personality. "It's absolutely horrific - I've been discriminated against because of my job."

Spencer told the newspaper that she had done nothing wrong and always treated staff at the stable with respect. She said she was offered a full refund from the center, which reportedly charged over $760 to look after her 14-year-old horse Cherry.

OnlyFans siren turns down million dollars to delete account

A French model who is in the top 0.4 percent of creators on OnlyFans has revealed she turned down a million dollars she was offered to delete her account. Laurie allows her subscribers to take life decisions for her. She has described it as sort of like 'Twitch plays Pokémon', except it's on OnlyFans where her subscribers make "every decision of my life, important or not.

Laurie reportedly posts polls on Telegram, asking her fans what they want her to do -- right from what she should have for lunch or whether or not she should gamble. She's left her partner in the process and quit her internship at the behest of her fans. That said, she's kept some rules in place so it doesn't get out of hand -- Laurie won't entertain requests or polls that could "put me in danger, harm someone, or be hateful." She revealed how she was made an unusual offer by one of her subscribers, which she also put to a poll and insisted to her fans the results "could change my life."

The model said "something incredible has happened" and shared a series of messages she'd received on Telegram from a man who expressed his love for her and said he wanted "to keep you all for me." He apparently offered her a million dollars if she would "delete" her OnlyFans as he felt he couldn't "share you anymore with other men." Laurie highlighted the dilemma to her subscribers, telling them she was "not doing this for the money" and asked them to make a decision. The results showed that 56 percent voted for her to reject the offer, and so she apologized to the benefactor saying her "community is stronger than anything" and that she would continue to perform on the platform, LadBible reported.
