'The Weakest Link': Meghan wins $54,500 after Josh fails to answer tiebreaker in final battle
NBC's 'Weakest Link' is certainly getting better with each episode. The latest episode of the trivia-based game show, had all the audience hooked at the edge of their seat, wondering who might take home the prize of $54,500 that the contestants managed to amass in the previous rounds.
The final round was between Meghan and Josh. Both of them played well during the entire game, while Meghan was the strongest link for three rounds, Josh consistently banked the money and seemed to be knowledgable about a wide array of subjects. So, anybody could be a winner. Josh, who scored higher than Meghan in the previous round was given the option of deciding who would go first to answer the questions in the final round. He decided to be a gentleman and declared that Meghan should go first.
Jane Lynch began by asking Meghan a question, which she immediately responded correctly to. It was Josh's turn, he too replied the right answer to his question. The duo managed to answer the first two questions correctly, and they were tied. For the third question, while Meghan replied the right answer, Josh fumbled and gave a wrong response. Just, as we began thinking that Meghan might defeat Josh, she answered the fourth question wrong. While Josh answered the fourth one too wrong. Finally, it was the time for the fifth question, and Meghan got the answer wrong, and if Josh replied it right, the duo would have to answer a tie-breaker question.
Josh knew the answer but had a hard time recollecting it. Unfortunately, his response turned out to be wrong, and he lost the game. Meghan was declared a winner and got to take home $54,500. She complimented Josh for being a great competitor and also expressed joy over her big win. While Josh was happy for Meghan's win and praised her being a worthy rival. The episode ended with both of them praising each other, while the hostess Jane Lynch watched them quietly.
