The Wanted's Tom Parker whose wife is 36-week pregnant has terminal brain tumor, shocked fans say 'stay strong'

'The Wanted' member Tom Parker has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. The 32-year-old singer is said to be fighting for his life and has stage 4 glioblastoma. The singer is a father to a 15-month-old daughter and also has another baby on the way. His wife, Kelsey, is currently 36 weeks pregnant. While doing an interview with OK! Magazine, the emotional star said, "I’m still in complete shock, it’s so much to take in."

"I knew something wasn’t right, but I never expected it to be this. You never think this will happen to you," Parker shared. The star is being supported by his bandmates including Max George and Jay McGuiness who told him, "We love you."

Kelsey shared, "It has been a crazy six weeks. We had an inkling that something was wrong in July, but we never could have imagined it was this." It has been reported that the life expectancy for Parker's illness can vary from three months to eighteen months from the time of diagnosis. 

Parker has maintained that he will beat the illness and will have a future with his children. He revealed, "I’m going to be here, I’m going to fight this."

Many of his fans and followers have sent get-well-soon messages via comments on social media. One such user had written, "Awful news. My niece suffered a seizure out of the blue, whilst trying on her wedding dress, she was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma, she battled it for 2 years and lost her life at the age of 36. I wish Tom all the best, he has a hard battle ahead."

Another social media user commented, "I'm so sorry to hear this. My mother died from the same type of tumour and it's an awful, horrible, thing for anyone to go through. My heart goes out to him and his family." Yet another user chimed in, "Regardless of who he is this is unbelievably sad for a guy so young and to think he’s got another child on the way is heartbreaking." "The Wanted defined years of my life and arguably they still do. The boys mean everything to me. Tom you are a bloody fighter and I know you will stay so strong. So much love," said another



 



 



 



 

"Oh no! That's terrible, I grew up listening to the wanted a lot and to hear this is heartbreaking. Sending so much love and prayers to him," wrote another well-wisher on social media. Another Twitter user who echoed the same sentiments had commented and said, "My thought and prayers are with you Tom and family! You got this and stay positive!" Yet another shocked user shared, "I am in total shock his wife who is pregnant must e absolutely devastated,he is a lovely man with a lovely family,l dont know what else to say l am shocked by this news,sending my love and prayers to his family and hope a miracle will happen, they do happen."



 



 



 

Parker had suffered from a seizure in July and had taken himself to A&E where he was put on a waiting list for an MRI scan. Around six weeks later, he suffered from a more serious seizure while on a family trip to Norwich and was later rushed to the hospital.
