'The Walking Dead: World Beyond' has been a breeze so far and with the two-hour finale coming up on Sunday (November 29), much of the conversation has been around Annet Mahendru's Huck. In Episode 8: 'The Sky is a Graveyard', it was revealed that she was a traitor and was working for the CRM all along. She is also the daughter of Lt Elizabeth Kublek (Julia Ormond) is tasked to monitor the activities of "the asset".

While this comes as a shocker, especially after a plotline that sees Silas (Hal Cumpston) choosing his own path by leaving the teens after confessing to two murders. Elton (Nicolas Cantu) follows suit hoping to team up with Silas to boost the chances of their survival. And these developments are bad news for Felix (Nico Tortorella), Iris (Aliyah Royale), and Hope (Alexa Mansour) who still have the mission of finding their father.

As the ninth episode nears, Huck will be the cynosure of all eyes and it will be keen to see how the betrayal story plays out. There are two possibilities: Huck goes on to be the villain and curbs the teens from finding their father, or she will have a change of heart and side with the teens instead. While the second theory does come across as a cliche, it does make sense as she has developed a bond with the teens, especially with Hope.

Hope's traumatic past has been well-documented throughout the series and Huck is the first person she opens up to about all the guilt of accidentally killing Elton's mom. In addition, Hope was also the one who left key clues for Huck and Felix to follow so as to know their whereabouts. While this may suggest, Hope is "the asset", it also shows the trust she has in Huck and this may perhaps change the guardian's mind when it comes to supporting the CRM again.

However, this would mean risking her bond with Elizabeth and that's another storyline in itself. Huck has been integral to the team and shares a great relationship with Felix and for that matter, Silas too (Remember she tosses him a pair of marine boots when linking up with the team). This might be a facade to earn their trust, but it also might be that Huck has a softer side to her and that may play a part in the finale.

What are your thoughts on Huck having a change of heart?

'The Walking Dead: World Beyond' ends Season 1 with a two-part finale. The synopsis reads: "A series of setbacks cause a member of the group to reevaluate their role in the mission; someone makes a surprising discovery; a startling revelation casts everything in a new light." While we are clearly unaware who does what in the finale, the relationships between the teens will be the focal point."

Catch the finale on Sunday, November 29, at 10 pm ET on AMC.
