'The Walking Dead' Season 10: Five characters who might die by the end of the ongoing installment
As Season 10 of 'The Walking Dead' draws to a close, speculations and theories about who may die or survive to see another day will be a topic of discussion. As far as deaths go, the ongoing installment has already rung in some massive changes with Alpha's (Samantha Morton), as Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) beheads her, keeping up his end of the deal with Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). The aftermath is what could be rightly seen as the rise of Beta, who now has control of the walker horde and his army of whisperers.
With Episode 15 being the last chapter to air until AMC rolls out the finale on a suitable date sometime later in the year, but there's enough from the show's plot and promo footage to have a look at the characters who may not go on to live by the end of the season. Here's our list of top five characters who might die by the end of Season 10.
1. Ezekiel
Played by Khary Payton, Ezekiel's death is the most likely due to his suffering from cancer. The earliest hints came in when he barely made it out of the battle of Hilltop. The second time was in Episode 14: 'Look at the Flowers' where he almost gave up if not for Yumiko's insistence. Whether he dies because of the condition he's ailing from, or in a final stand against Beta's army is the question that will be on fan's minds.
2. Carol
Another death that's been teased for a while now. It is imminent, no doubt — except, we don't know if it will happen in the next episode or the coming-soon explosive finale. She attempted to lock herself in Alpha's cave filled with hordes, followed that up with instances where she could have bit the dust, but the resilience kept her going. The haunting visions she saw in the previous episode, one that included Lizzie's mercy-killing was a major hint that Carol's turn is coming soon.
3. Aaron
Another likable character who's death is hard to picture, yet difficult to ignore. With Beta getting ready to hit the survivors with all he's got, Aaron's not really on the safer side. Plus, he was one of the survivors from the cave collapse and then made it out of the Battle of Hilltop. Last we saw him, he came in contact with Negan. Now he just might be in Beta's way and given the army, Aaron's chances of making it seems pretty slim.
4. Kelly
The trusty sling maybe her weapon of choice, but the hearing condition is a major setback and that might lead to her death. Also accounting for the fact that with Connie's death still unclear, there's less room for Kelly in terms of developing her character further. Whether she'll be just another survivor or a character who dies a heroic death remains to be seen.
5. Rosita
What's in store for the battle-hardened character is anyone's guess. She now has a baby and despite her death, we can see the baby well taken care of by Gabriel and Co. The challenge for Rosita's character is the same as Kelly's. Unless there's a compelling storyline, the writers might be thinking of writing the character out.
