UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: In the highly anticipated grand finale of 'The Voice' Season 25, Asher HaVon, and his talented coach Reba McEntire, delivered a show-stopping performance of 'On My Own' by Patti LaBelle. The emotion and power in their vocals captivated the audience. .

Throughout the season, Reba has been a dedicated mentor to both Asher and his fellow team member Josh Sanders, guiding them with her expertise and support.

However, many viewers of the show expressed their disappointment with Asher and Reba's song choice during the finale, feeling that they could have selected a different tune that better suited the moment. The fans believed that a different song would have had a greater impact and better conveyed the emotions of the scene.

Who is Asher HaVon on 'The Voice' Season 25? 

Asher HaVon, a native of the historic city of Selma, Alabama, has been singing since he was a child. Growing up surrounded by the sounds of gospel music, HaVon received support and encouragement from his elementary school teacher and his mother, who he lovingly refers to as his "singing sergeant."

In 2015, he gained recognition as the choir leader who had the honor of performing for President Barack Obama during the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery marches in Selma.

From the very beginning, HaVon has been a standout contestant on Season 25 of The Voice thanks to his impressive vocal range. His Blind Audition performance of Adele's 'Set Fire to the Rain' immediately caught the attention of three coaches, including Chance the Rapper. Despite his ever-changing hairstyles throughout the competition, HaVon's singing has consistently been top-notch.

'The Voice' Season 25  contestant Asher HaVon has won

Asher HaVon achieved victory on Tuesday, May 21, as he was named the champion of the 25th season of 'The Voice'. This triumphant moment marked a successful second season for Team Reba, as HaVon emerged as the standout winner of the competition.

Carson Daly announced that Asher had taken a two-year hiatus from singing before making a triumphant comeback during the blind auditions and ultimately emerged victorious in the competition.

After delivering a captivating rendition of 'On My Own' alongside his coach, HaVon graciously accepted his crown. This iconic song, originally performed by Patti LaBelle and Michael McDonald in 1986, resonated with the audience and solidified HaVon's place as a rising star in the music industry. 

The singer-songwriter emerged victorious over competitors from Team Reba, Team Dan + Shay, and Team Legend, including Josh Sanders, Karen Waldrup, Nathan Chester, and Bryan Olesen.
