UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Asher HaVon took the stage as the second artist to perform during the Season 25 finale of 'The Voice' on Monday, May 20. Despite garnering a standing ovation from the coaches, many believed his performance fell short of his previous showings on the program.

On Monday's episode, Asher penned a heartfelt letter to music about what it has meant to him throughout his life. He discussed how music inspired him to audition for 'The Voice', how it led him to Reba McEntire, and expressed his deep admiration for her.

He praised music for bringing immense joy into his life. Asher delivered a stunning rendition of Donna Summer's "Last Dance". Each coach gave Asher a standing ovation, and John Legend declared him the finest vocalist in the competition.

Reba expressed her delight at seeing Asher having such a good time on stage. However, on Reddit, fans debated the performance, with one writing, "I don't think this was a great song choice for asher." Another person chimed in, "The dancing and skating is distracting."

One user noted, "The outfits on the background dancers are way too colorful and it keeps pulling the eye to them." Another user sighed, "I think that's the first time Asher hasn't kept me out of my seat."

One user wrote, "Nathan did a better job than Asher in first song."  On X, one fan wrote, "Asher sounded a bit pitchy." Another user added, " I thought he would’ve done better."

Others shared similar sentiments, with one person adding, "…I think it could’ve been better somehow idk compared to other performances he’s done." One fan also noted, "I wasn't too crazy Abt this , I believe you are a better singer than this from your lows range and highs . This was the wrong song for the finals."

One user also asked, "Not Asher’s Personal best. Why has he brought out so many other people & singers the last 2 weeks?" Another person complained, "wish the producers would back off on the accompanying music and let us hear more of his voice. The background music practically drowned out Asher's voice tonight."

One suggested, "Omg get rid of the dancers! They were so distracting. Wonder how many were watching the skaters instead of Asher...."
