'The Voice' Season 25 fans slam NBC for making Tae Lewis follow up Asher HaVon's 'big production' in semi-final
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Tae Lewis finished up the semi-final episode on May 13 of 'The Voice' Season 25 with a performance of Lonestar's 'Amazed'. However, fans were concerned since he had to keep up with Asher HaVon's high productivity level.
Tae closed up Monday night by sending Lonestar's omnipresent melody to his birthplace of Goldsboro, North Carolina. His interpretation was strong, giving him plenty of chances to demonstrate the variety of his flexible voice.

However, not everyone was happy with him closing the show, especially having to follow Asher's over-the-top production act. On Reddit, fans wrote, "I'm not sure who thought having Tae perform AFTER the big production for Asher was a good idea." Another person chimed in, "OK, this is Tae's best performance to date. Dang, if he wasn't up against Asher... I really hope has a career post-Voice. Cause dude can sing."
One fan revealed, "I voted for Tae since I assume Asher will have no prob going through. Tae was so good!" Another user sighed, "Tae could but yeah on the others."
One person also noted, "I've always loved Amazed and I love Tae, but this song feels like a weak showcase for his abilities." While one fan felt, "Tae got the pimp spot."
