'The Voice' Season 24: Who is Jacquie Roar? Gwen Stefani steals 4 chair turner after feeling 'intimidated' by coach Reba McEntire
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Jacquie Roar is a 37-year-old from North Plains, Oregon. She is a wedding DJ and is the voice of her own country band.
'The Voice' Season 24 singer Jacquie made all the judges go crazy for her as she bagged four chair turns in the Blind Audition round by singing 'Here For The Party' by Gretchen Wilson. Jacquie came to the audition round with her boyfriend and her 6-year-old daughter.
As all four judges turned their chairs, they believed Jacquie was about to choose Reba as her coach. Seeing Reba as a possible threat, Gwen Stefani said, "I'm just getting to know Reba and I'm a little intimidated by her greatness, of course."
Gwen added, "And like the whole country genre, I feel like I'm this weird—adopted into the Okie world." She declared, "The whole thing's weird."
Reba teased Gwen, saying, "Such pressure." Gwen agreed, noting, "It is a lot of pressure. I want you to like me." Both then laughed off their little moment.
Gwen Stefani would love to work with 'The Voice' Season 24 singer Jacquie Roar
Gwen said to the singer Jacquie, "I've lived your dream already in so many ways as a female artist." She continued, "AI would love to work with you."
Gwen added, "I feel like I'm in this new period of my life where I really learned a lot about country music and fell in love with country music in a way I never thought I would."
John Legend, on the other hand, believed Jacquie's voice had a lot of potential and said, "You can do so much with that voice."
Reba McEntire called 'The Voice' Season 24 'whole sucker'
Reba said, "I've got my award-winning belt buckle here." She then showed off her shimmery buckle.
Referring to Jacquie, Reba added, "You and I are kind of on the same vein of thinking, winning, working together, and win this whole sucker. We could this the whole show."
Gwen Stafani and Niall Horan repeated Reba's words, laughing as they said, "This whole sucker."
'The Voice' Season 24: Jacquie Roar joins Gwen Stefani's team
Jacquie left the decision of picking her coach on her 6-year-old daughter. Jacquie asked the judges, "Can I have my daughter come help me pick?" Leilani then comes up on the stage to help her mother choose one judge out of four.
All the 4 judges then were seen flaunting themselves in front of Leilani to let her pick them. Leilani said, "Gwen." Jacquie then confirmed, "We pick Gwen."
Gwen said in the confessional, "Jacquie is beautiful. She has stage presence. She has style. She kind of has whole package."
'The Voice' Season 24 airs every Monday and Tuesday on NBC at 8 pm ET.
