Kelsie Watts and Madeline Consoer headed for the knockout round from Kelly Clarkson’s team. Both contestants had an impressive run in the blind auditions and the battle rounds. Both singers landed on the stage with the intention to continue their run to the next round.

For her Knockouts performance, the 29-year-old Kelsie picked ‘You Oughta Know’ by Alanis Morissette whereas Madeline Consoer crooned ‘Die From A Broken Heart’ by Maddie & Tae. Talking about her song, Kelsie had shared that this song was a little personal for her as she had been in two horrid relationships in the past.

Kelsie went all intense and powerful when she landed on the stage whereas Madeline performed her track in a laidback and easy mood which also left the judges impressed. While talking to Kelsie, Blake Shelton asserted, “You really took that song to an edge” and also asked Madeline why she wasn’t on his team. After all the judges gave their valuable inputs on their performance, it was time for Kelly to take the final call.

With much hesitation, Kelly went for Madeline Consoer and Kelsie Watts had to head back home as none of the judges used the “save” or “steal” option. Madeline now moves to the Live playoffs.

The Internet was quick to react to the battle between both the singers. One user tweeted, “@kelsiewatts did such a great job - I’m a big fan of the original and loved what Kelsie did with it - shame to see her leaving.” A user agreed, "Too bad for Kelsi great voice wrong song.”

Another posted, “wow wow wow @thatmaddiec that was just lovely~your voice just floated right through that song perfectly~ nice nice job.”  One added, “So mad!! @kelsiewatts is AMAZING! Maybe I just know Maddie and Tae’s song to well so I didn’t like the little additions and I felt @thatmaddiec just stood behind the microphone!!! I like for them to MOVE!!! FEEL IT!!! I got goose bumps for Kelsie!!!”

Another expressed, “Good example of a wrong song choice if I were @kelsiewatts I would have done a proper song to match up my range vocal capabilities. That mistake of hers permitted @thatmaddiec to win for @kellyclarkson #TeamKelly #VoiceKnockouts”

The knockouts premiered in the last episode where we saw Tamara Jade winning the round over Casme from John Legend’s team while the mother-daughter trio Worth the Wait was picked by Blake Shelton. However, their country singer opponent Ben Allen was saved by Gwen Stefani. Speaking of Gwen’s team, we saw Payge Turner moving to the next round and unfortunately, her opponent Ryan Berg had to head home with no save or steal from other coaches.

Mega mentor Usher was also introduced in the segment, where he along with the coaches, gave crucial tips to the contestants.

The new season of ‘The Voice’ is being hosted by Carson Daly. Season 19 episodes will be aired on NBC. Fans can also catch the singing reality show on the official website of NBC and on their official app along with the network's new streaming service Peacock.  Also, we will see Nick Jonas returning as a judge on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ in Season 20 replacing Gwen Stefani. The crooner earlier sat on the big red chair in Season 18.
