Chloe Hogan performed a Jackie DeShannon song for her blind auditions on the premiere episode of ‘The Voice’ Season 19 and got a standing ovation from Gwen Stefani. The renowned singer wasted no time in pressing the red buzzer and turning her chair around.

However, coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson were not impressed with the young lady’s performance as they did not turn their chairs at all. Kelly praised Chloe for her stellar choice while Gwen said that she was excited adding that she is always on the lookout for someone who can do all the tricks but with just enough uniqueness that makes them stand out.

Even if Chloe failed to impress the other coaches, she got a lot of love from the Internet while a few also slammed the judges for not turning around. One user said, “I can’t believe only @gwenstefani turned!! Guess we know now who has the best musical ear! She should have been an easy 4 chair!”

Another added, “Chloé Hogan chooses such a simple heartfelt song and barely starts b4 getn a chair turn. So pure and honest, stage presence and relatability. She didn’t need to show out but she did a little. So sweet! #TheVoice”

One user tweeted, “Chloe didn't get a four chair turn, but they all immediately turned around for that white girl after she sang the most basic two notes? lmao Thank you, Gwen for being the only one to know real talent when you hear it. #TheVoice” Another added, “I feel the coaches are throwing the competition for Gwen. This was a stellar performance and deserved 4 chairs.

As of now, from the premiere episode of ‘The Voice’ Season 19, contestants Tamara Jade and John Holiday went to Team Legend, Team Gwen also got two talented contestants in the form of Lauran Frihauf and Payge Turner. Joseph Soul, Eli Zamora and Marisa Corvo opted for Team Kelly, whereas Team Blake got Ian Flanigan, Jim Ranger and Taryn Papa.

Apart from the singing skills of the contestants, fans will also notice a few changes in the show due to the unfortunate global pandemic. The coaches sit farther apart and host Carson Daly will also keep his distance. ‘The Voice’ season 19 premiere episodes will be aired on NBC. Fans can also catch the singing reality show on the official website of NBC and on their official app along with the network's new streaming service Peacock.

Todd Tilghman was announced as last season's winner from Team Blake at the age of 42 making him the oldest winner in the series history, a record previously held by Josh Kaufman.
