'The Voice' Season 19: Only Blake Shelton turns his chair for Jus Jon, fans say 'their loss is Blake's gain'
Singer Jus Jon was one of the contestants for the blind auditions in the latest episode of 'The Voice' season 19. The 30-year-old crooner from Virginia decided to cover Khalid’s song ‘Talk’ and could only manage to impress Blake Shelton. The legendary country music artiste was the only one to turn his red chair around after pressing the buzzer. The other coaches did not seem impressed by Jon's singing skills but praised him nevertheless.
Shelton was more than happy over other judges not turning their respective chairs. Speaking to Jon, he said, “You are the voice man. There is no body like you on my team and that makes me very happy." The Internet was divided when it came to Jon.
One user, who was the singer’s uncle, praised Jon and said, “Proud is an understatement! So "Jus Jon" who sings lead with Hampton Roads own 'RAJAZZ' just got his chair turned by Blake on 'The Voice'. Very proud of you nephew. I can't wait to see how far you go and better yet play with you back here in VA. You have a true gift. One. Mike.”
Another user stated, “Jus Jon was good I think he was nervous and might be one of those contestants who comes back killin it in the next round #TheVoice #VoiceBlinds #teamblake” A fan added, “What a steal for Blake! Jus Jon DELIVERED on "Talk" and should have had multiple coaches turn for him. But their loss is Blake's gain.”
Another said, “Really don't like singers who sing like sheep All you can here is baaaaaa baaaa in their vocal Jus Jon is one of those singers #TheVoice #VoiceBlinds”
