'The Voice' continued with its new format tonight. Four contestants have already been voted through to the Top 9 by America and another four have made it through thanks to the coaches.

The last spot was reserved for the 'Wild Card' round, where the artists with the highest votes from the remaining contestants got to perform for the chance to win the final spot based on votes.

Joanna Serenko, Mandi Castillo, Cedrice, and Michael Williams were the four contestants with one last chance to get into the top nine. That means Joei Fulco, Mike Jerel, Mandi Thomas, Arei Moon, and Roderick Chambers are going home tonight.

Unlike the regular format that gives contestants a chance to absorb the news, the virtual lives had to cut away immediately, meaning we barely got a chance to say goodbye to some of our favorites.

Some fans were nervous about the Wild Card round. As one fan pointed out, "Joanna, Michael, Cedrice and Mandi. Oh man this is gonna be a hard instant save choice. #TheVoice."

"Joanna was robbed #TheVoice," tweeted one fan, while another said, "Joanna deserved to move on :(((( JOANNA WE LOVE YOU YOU KILLED IT #TheVoice."

One viewer stated, "Ugh but if Mandi Castillo is in the sing off, she'll do well #TheVoice," and another fan tweeted, "Cedrice is amazing and deserves to be in the finale. #TheVoice." And one fan said, "If michael doesn’t move on i will never forgive y’all #thevoice."

Who goes forward will depend on how America votes. In the meantime, fans of the contestants eliminated tonight are clearly unhappy about these results.

"Awww, Joei was good. I’ll miss her," tweeted one fan, while another said, "NOOOO MANDI IS THE BEST PERSON IN THIS COMPETITION what the f*ck is going on #TheVoice."

"Mandi didn't go through???" asked another fan, adding, "Something's bad wrong with this picture! #TheVoice." And one fan said, "America let my girl arei down... she gave y’all a PERFORMANCE! #TheVoice."

"HIGHWAY ROBBERY! #TheVoice Mandi and Roderick were ROBBED!!!! #Eliminations Tito, give me a tissue," tweeted one fan, and another stated, "WOW.....no Roderick, Mandi OR Mike? What the actual hell right now. Straight trash! #TheVoice."

Fans also were upset about the new format.

Some had issues with the show going virtual. "I just can’t get into the virtual thing #TheVoice," tweeted one fan, while another said, "The production of #TheVoice is so bad ugh."

Others hated the new voting system. "This is such B.S..it should be the TOP Vote Getters Period! Not someone from each team...I/We can't stand the way you keep changing #TheVoice," tweeted one fan, and another said, "The Voice voting sucks!!!!!!!!! Anymore than voting for more than one per team was WASTED!!!!"

"This saving team to team is bullsh*t. It sends people home that are better than people from other teams. I don’t like it at all," tweeted one fan, while another joked, "Well if anyone goes home on #TheVoice tonight they are already at home, so they don't have to go far."
