'The Voice' Season 17 Top 11 Playoffs: Ricky Duran could be the contestant who will be able to bring Blake Shelton to finals
'The Voice' season 17 returned on Monday night for the Top 11 Playoffs, and this week the contestants performed songs that were chosen by their fans. With the show nearing its end, Blake Shelton is only left with two contestants on his team, and if he wants to put his money on someone, it should be Ricky Duran.
Ricky was the last contestant of the night, and one of the highlight performances the night had to offer. Though other coaches have three artists in their team, Blake is the only coach with two contestants in his team, Kat Hammock and Ricky. Though Kat has a unique voice, Ricky is definitely a better performer and his performance on Monday night just proved it's true as fans rave about the contestant.
This week, fans chose 'Downtown Train' by Rod Stewart for Ricky, and boy, he did ace it. It's a perfect rock song that compliments his voice. Blake gives Ricky some extra confidence by gifting him a new guitar. Singing his rendition of 'Downtown Train' Ricky gives a charismatic performance. His vocals were on point, so much so that after his performance, John Legend shared that sometimes he forgets that Ricky is a contestant because of how professional he sounds. Blake shares that Ricky deserves the moment he is receiving and that is nothing but the truth.
Taking to Twitter post the episode, fans share their thoughts on his performance and rave about it claiming they voted for him and that he gets better each week. "the best for the end.... my Ricky Duran......AMAZING......every single week better and better. #thevoice," wrote a fan.
