'The Voice' season 17: Four reasons why Taylor Swift should be made permanent mega mentor

With the Knockouts on the run, here is why we think Taylor Swift should be made a permanent coach on 'The Voice'.
PUBLISHED OCT 30, 2019

Fans of 'The Voice' season 17 cannot calm down as Taylor Swift finally made her debut as the mega mentor of the series this week.

The award-winning singer joined the series this week as 'The Voice' began with Night 1 of the Knockouts. The contestants were excited and stunned to know they were going to get mentored by the 10-time Grammy award winner. Fans and viewers were as excited to see her appear on the series once again, not just as a mentor, but a 'mega mentor' to the contestants this season.

With two nights of the Knockouts done and dusted, viewers and fans back home haven't had enough of her. Some fans also took to social media to share their views on wanting Taylor to become the series' permanent coach.

Now we already do know that Nick Jonas will appear as one of the coaches alongside John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Blake Shelton. Nick will replace Gwen Stefani who replaced Adam Levine this season. But Taylor can always return for season 19 if it is renewed, or she can return next season once again as the mega mentor.

With the Knockouts on the run, here are four reasons why we think Taylor Swift should be made a permanent mega mentor on 'The Voice'.

Swifties adore her

Taylor Swift undoubtedly has a massive fan base who adore her. Apart from that fans love the advice she shares with the contestants. Especially since this isn't Taylor's first time as a mentor on the series. She was previously a mentor during season 7 of 'The Voice'. And now to see her come after evolving so much more in the music industry, fans cannot contain their excitement to see her back.

Surge in ratings

We have already established the fact that fans love and adore Taylor on the series as a mega mentor. With a massive fan base, Taylor will also bring the series a surge in their ratings. The series also received the highest ratings it has gotten in the past four episodes on Monday night. This is a plus point for the series, and as the Knockouts continue, we might see the surge in the viewers go higher.

Her expert advice

Taylor without a doubt has a lot of experience in the music industry and is also a singer who rose to fame with nothing but hard work and immense talent. And having her on 'The Voice' as a mega mentor is nothing but an exceptional move. Taylor has also performed in so many concerts and shows, she knows how to work the stage presence. And in just two nights as a mega mentor on The Voice, we have seen her teach contestants how to improve their stage presence and not repeat the gestures. With her experience, she also advised the contestants on their vocal front and how they can improve it.

Healthy banter with Blake

When she appeared on night 1 of the Knockouts, we already witnessed Taylor roast Blake on the show. Since this is not the first time she is coming to the show, she has already worked with Blake. Their healthy fun banter would be the best replacement for Adam Levine. Nick Jonas and Blake might have a healthy banter going on already, but there's no one like Taylor.

Overall, making Taylor Swift a permanent coach or mentor should be considered.

'The Voice' season 17 airs every Monday and Tuesday night only on NBC.
