'The Voice' season 17 premieres in a day and fans brace for an Adam Levine sized hole
It seems like it was just a few days ago that Maelyn Jarmon from Team Legend was crowned the winner of 'The Voice' season 16, and now it's time for season 17.
Ever since the finale of season 16, a lot has changed on 'The Voice'. The biggest shock came from fan favorite coach Adam Levine when he revealed that he would not be returning to the series. He was replaced by former coach Gwen Stefani.
A few weeks prior the series also unveiled that Taylor Swift would be joining the series once again this season as Mega Mentor. They also revealed that Normani, the former Fifth Harmony singer joins Clarkson's team as this season's battle advisor. Joining Blake Shelton's team is country star Darius Rucker. Will.i.am joined as battle advisor for Stefani. And back again this season, not as a coach, but as a battle advisor is Usher, who joined John Legend's team.
Though fans were first disappointed with the news of Levine leaving and had mixed reactions about Stefani taking his place, it looks like they have made peace with that fact. With Blake Shelton blocking Kelly Clarkson, Stefani declaring war against her boyfriend Shelton, and the continuation of the healthy banter between the judges, now fans and viewers can't contain their excitement for the soon to premiere season 17 of 'The Voice'.
With just over 24 hours left for the season to premiere, fans can't contain their excitement, as they take to Twitter to share what they are most excited about this season, what they are looking forward to and which judge they are rooting for.
"Can’t wait!!! So excited about the change! It was about time!" wrote a fan on Twitter. Adding to that another fan said, "Can't wait!!! Love all judges."
"My excitement level is so high right now!! I can’t wait! #lovethevoice," said a fan. While another added, "I hope @kellyclarkson whips ole @blakeshelton this year!!!! Yes, an Oklahoma girl is rooting for Teamclarkson!"
A few fans also revealed their excitement on seeing Shelton and Stefani on the show together. "I’m so excited to see Gwen and Blake together! They are adorable!" said a fan on Twitter.
Though most fans have gotten over the fact that Adam will not be returning this season, a few of them are still unhappy about it. "To be honest, I will miss Adam and Blake’s bantering," wrote a fan. Adding to that another fan said, "Can't wait! But I am sad that @adamlevine won't be on the show."
"Not too sure about the Voice without Adam," said another fan.
