'The Voice': Fans claim the series should have replaced 'annoying' Kelly Clarkson with Nick Jonas and not Gwen Stefani
'The Voice' season 17 returned for a brand new episode on Monday night, and we were in for a sudden shock when the series revealed that Gwen Stefani wouldn't be returning next season, and Nick Jonas will be replacing her as a coach.
Gwen Stefani just returned as a coach for season 17 post Adam Levine's departure after being a long-time coach on 'The Voice', but sadly she will not be returning next season and fans are shocked. Though fans and viewers speculate that the reason for her being replaced is the continuous PDA between her and boyfriend Blake Shelton, that might not be the exact reason. It could be her work commitments.

The process of replacing and rotating coaches has always been a part of 'The Voice' in order for the series to give opportunities to other artists. According to ET, being replaced might not be a big issue for Gwen after all since she has her Vegas residency going on. The singer still shuffles between being a coach on 'The Voice' and still makes it to her Vegas residency shows.
The Jonas Brothers' tour also ends right in time for the spring cycle, which leaves Nick with the time to appear as a coach. Though this is Nick's first time as a coach on 'The Voice', the singer has previously appeared on 'Songland' with his brothers to choose their next big hit.
Though fans are happy that Nick will be joining as the new coach, they are disappointed that Gwen is leaving. Some fans claim that Gwen shouldn't have been the one to leave, but they should have replaced Kelly Clarkson because she is the annoying one amongst the rest.
Taking to Twitter a fan said, "How is #thevoice gonna replace Gwen Stefani with Nick Jonas when Kelly Clarkson is easily the most annoying person to ever be on that show." Adding to that another fan said, "For the Nick Jonas news we all Noel Adam Levine's not allowed anywhere on the voice no more so if you think about it John legend's not going to be replaced so the only person that should be replaced is either Gwen or Kelly but I picked Kelly cuz she's annoying #TheVoice."
