It was the final night of knockouts round, and 'The Voice' fans were eagerly looking forward to seeing who the coaches would pick for the live stage round. It was the turn of Team Blake Shelton and Team Gwen Stefani to put their best foot forward to impress their coaches. While we got to witness the knockout performances of all of Team Blake's members, one of Gwen's contestant's performances was however cut short and shown as a montage.

After we finished watching the knockout round performances of all of Blake's team members, just before an ad break, a brief clip which lasted for less than a minute was shown where Team Gwen's Joseph Soul could be heard giving a soulful performance to Billie Eilish and Khaled's 'Lovely' song. The camera then turns to Gwen, who declares him as the winner against Van Andrew, because his notes are so beautiful and he seemed ready to move onto the next round.

While fans got to see a brief snippet of Joseph's performance, Van Andrew's wasn't even aired, and the coaches' feedback wasn't shown either. Fans were furious at the showrunners for cutting short the knockout performance between Joseph and Van Andrew. A fan tweeted, "After seeing that short clip of Joseph Soul's knockout performance, I feel robbed. We deserved to see that entire segment. #TheVoice."

The brief performance clip was later uploaded on the show's official YouTube channel. The video garnered a lot of angry comments from fans who slammed the show for not airing the entire knockout performance. A fan wrote, "They really montaged a Billie Eilish cover and didn't even show Van's performance. You, producers, are literally asking for the hate..." Another fan expressed, "I'm so pissed off. They really need to upload this performance on YouTube instead of montaging it.I really wanted to hear Joseph Soul's rendition of Billie's song with his beautiful falsetto."

"They really did Van dirty... But Joseph was so good I must say. I wonder if they have to montage or cut the performances for songs they don't have licence to air online but can only perform in person/at live event?" wondered a fan. "WELL I WONDER WHO WON.. You could care less to even be bothered to montage 10 seconds of Vans performance?!?!? which would still stink, you continue to reinvent how TERRIBLE the voice CAN be," shared an angry fan.
