'The Voice': Fans hope Maelyn and Shawn make it to the final four so they can beat the country singers on the show
'The Voice' is nearing its end, and on Tuesday night when the series goes live with its next episode, we will get to see who the final four contestants are.
On Monday night's episode, we witnessed the eight semifinalists perform for a shot at the finals. Blake Shelton had the advantage with 5 contestants on his team, John Legend with 2 contestants and Kelly Clarkson with 1.Sadly Adam Levine has no contestants left in the competition.
On Monday, each contestant sang two songs, one solo and the other a duet of songs by The Beatles. After taking a look at the performances, most fans were rooting for Team Legend's Maelyn Jarmon and Shawn Sounds.
Recently a few fans had rallied against Team Blake's contestants, claiming that most of America is voting for his team members because they are country singers and because he has a bigger fan base than the other coaches.
Due to the majority of contestants being country artists, some fans are rooting mainly for Jarmon and Sounds to make it to the final four so they can win over the country artists. "I can't believe I'm saying this but God bless Adam for pushing hard for both Maelyn and Shawn in the finale to save us from Country hell," wrote a fan on Reddit.
Adding to that another fan said, "Giving Shawn the last slot definitely feels like a last ditch effort to try and get a somewhat interesting finale that isn't just all Country. They probably want Maelyn, Shawn, Dexter and Rod."
While another fan added, "That was so FREAKING AMAZING from Shawn!!! By FAR his best performance (and the best of the night)! If Shawn and Maelyn aren’t in the final - I don’t even know."
Apart from rooting for Jarmon and Sounds to make it to the finale, fans are also agreeing with Levine's comments about Jarmon being a winner.
"Thank you Adam for saying Maelyn should win. I've been thinking she could win since the blinds," said a fan. Another fan revealed. "I hate to agree with Adam and you know part of it is pettiness against Blake on his part but the man isn't wrong. Maelyn is far and away the best singer this season and she delivers time and time again. If she doesn't win, there's something wrong."
Another fan added, "Maelyn is so incredibly captivating and her voice is just amazing. I don't normally agree with Adam but she should win, no question. The added bonus of John winning his first season and her steamrolling all of Team Blake would be glorious."
With fans rooting for Jarmon and Sounds to be in the finals, only Tuesday will reveal if they will end up in the finals or not.
