Blake Shelton picks Tasha Jessen over EJ Michels
Tasha and EJ's performance garnered huge applause from both the coaches and the audience. Blake looks on very proudly at both of the contestants. Niall, Chance, and Kelly also loved their performance. EJ and Tasha's powerful rendition made Blake stunned and left him in a difficult situation. Blake ultimately picks Tasha over EJ.
'Not really feeling Tasha'
However, 'The Voice' viewers seemingly didn't impress with Blake's choice. A user wrote, "Not really feeling Tasha@blakeshelton." Another user tweeted, "Tasha did a great job, but I think EJ showed more variation and range overall. He's really such a big tenor voice. Lots of power on his head register. He just powers through full-voiced. I'd love to hear him do something slower with a little less tension. I also wish Tasha had spent more time in her head register here it's gorgeous." Another user said, "I think EJ was so much better!@blakeshelton." Another user added, "BIG MISTAKE BLAKE!! YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT EJ! WTG NIALL!!@blakeshelton. Another user noted, "@blakeshelton #TheVoice I believe EJ will do really well this season! I was really surprised that you didn’t pick him to stay on your team. He did an outstanding job tonight." Another user slammed, "@blakeshelton #TheVoice what? How could you it’s EJ. All the way. Big huge mistake Blake."

Niall Horan steals EJ Michels
Tasha and EJ from Team Blake performed 'Tracks of My Tears' for their battle round to get through the knockout round. Both contestants tapped into their emotions for this week's performance. Tasha remembered the time when she was separated from her husband because of immigration issues. Meanwhile, EJ recalled the difficult time when he struggled to find himself while living in a religious household. Kelly complimented both of their performances and said the battle was 'evenly matched.' Meanwhile, Chance praised they both killed it but would send EJ through. Niall agreed that EJ was the winner but still loved Tasha's tone. However, after Blake picks Tasha and EJ walked off the stage, Chance and Niall hit their buttons to steal him. Niall's only steal favored him as EJ picked the former One Direction member as his coach.
