'The View' host Ana Navarro explains why she would root for Joe Biden despite all odds
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘The View’ ladies are back on the panel after the summer hiatus and despite Whoopi Goldberg’s absence due to Covid, the discussions are in full swing. Ana Navarro has announced her support for President Joe Biden for the upcoming elections.
On September 6, Joy Behar posed a question to Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Sara Haines, about who they would vote for “if Biden decides to get out of the race.”
It was in this segment, that Navarro, who previously strongly identified as a Republican, stood for only one person: Joe Biden.
Ana Navarro would pick Joe Biden over Mother Teresa
Joy Behar, who moderated ‘The View’ on September 6 in Whoopi Goldberg’s absence, posed a question to the rest of the panel, “The question is, who would you put in these if Biden decides to get out of the race, for whatever reason.”
Sunny Hostin was the first to contribute and said, “I don’t think he’s going to get out.” Behar quickly interrupted Hostin, “Don’t answer like a Republican.”
After a quick laugh is shared between the co-hosts, Hostin said she would, “hope that Democratic rallied around the vice president, Kamala Harris, the way they rallied around Joe Biden.” She also added her second pick after Kamala Harris would be the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom.
Sara Haines picked the United States Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg. Behar also suggested Gretchen Whitmer, the Governor of Michigan.
Ana Navarro finally spoke up, “Mother Teresa could resuscitate and I would still support Joe Biden. I don’t want to entertain…I think this is theoretical.”
Although Behar tried telling Navarro that this was a “game,” it did not waver Navarro’s support for Biden.
Navarro continued, “Frankly, I’m going to support Joe Biden until Joe Biden tells me he’s not running, and until then I’m not entertaining this.”
Flashback to Ana Navarro in 2021
Ana Navarro has been a part of the Republican party but has now announced her support for Democratic party leader, President Joe Biden.
Back in 2021, Joy Behar had asked Navarro if she was still a part of the Republican party. As reported by People, Navarro responded, "Yes, I'm still in that party. I'm not going to let a guy who was a Democrat, an Independent — who became a Republican just a few years ago — kick me out.”
She continued, “I'm not going to be kicked out by a person that has no ideology, no principals, and no convictions. I'm not going anywhere!”
The person being discussed in the above statement was former President Donald Trump, who according to CNN, had said, “I probably identify more as Democrat,” in 2004.
