'The View' fans in splits as Whoopi Goldberg 'grunts' at Alyssa Farah Griffin after former Trump aide supports Nikki Haley
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: After former Vice President and now former GOP candidate Mike Pence dropped out of the Presidential race, the ‘The View’ panel discussed the same. However, the focus of the conversation quickly shifted to the other candidates, primarily Nikki Haley.
Alyssa Farah Griffin has previously shown her support for the former South Carolina governor and continued to do so in this particular segment of ‘The View’. However, Whoopi Goldberg was not impressed by this.
Viewers pointed out Goldberg’s reaction to Griffin talking about GOP candidate Nikki Haley, which included her “grunting.”

On ‘The View’, moderator and host Whoopi Goldberg announced the topic in hand, which started with Mike Pence, “Amen, and we are back, talking about Mike Pence dropping out of the race on Saturday. There are now only nine candidates in the Republican race. Is anybody else going to read the room at some point and say it's time to go?”
Sunny Hostin quickly chimed in as she talked about the “polling numbers” of Pence and the other candidates who were polling below him, including Chris Christie, Tim Scott, Asa Hutchinson, and Ryan Binkley.
As the co-hosts discussed Mike Pence and the other candidates including Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy, Alyssa Farah Griffin, who was a former Trump aide when Mike Pence was Vice President, chimed in.
Griffin said, “I'm always going to be grateful for Pence doing the right thing on January 6th, and I think there are a lot of elected politicians who would not do the right thing, so I don't want to take that away from him.”
Griffin also added, “I hope the Mike Pence I know knows what a threat Donald Trump poses and throws his full support behind Nikki Haley.”
It was at this point Goldberg “grunted” and said, “Ick. Sorry, that escaped my body.”
Later in the segment, as Griffin spoke about Nikki Haley’s polling numbers, Goldberg criticized the former South Carolina governor, “She's not wide enough on the world for me. I'm sorry. There's all kinds of crazy stuff going on in the Congo. There's crazy stuff going on all over the world.”
“And quite honestly, she does not seem to think there's anything wrong with some of the policies that the Republicans have stood for, and she said nothing new that you-know-who has not said,” added Goldberg.
As Griffin jumped in to defend Haley, claiming she is “most willing” to “criticize” Donald Trump, Goldberg interrupted her, arguing, “That's not enough. I want to know what you are going to do. We all can sit and criticize. I want to see, what's your plan?”
Internet backs Whoopi Goldberg's criticism of Nikki Haley
After this segment, viewers were quick to support Whoopi Goldberg. However, their focus remained on her reaction to Alyssa Farah Griffin.
One wrote, “Whoopi Goldberg grunting when Alyssa said she hopes Mike Pence endorses Nikki Haley at 3:10,” with a slew of laughing emojis.
Another said, “Whoopi "that escaped my body" I'm stealing this! It's alright Whoopi. Happens to me all the time.”
“Whoopi Goldberg grunting at Alyssa at 3:10” laughed yet another viewer, while others agreed with Goldberg. One wrote, “Agree with WHOOPI” and another said, “Spot on Whoopi!”
People continued to back Goldberg, and some even thanked her as one wrote, “Thanks Whoopi for stating the most important question for any politician ‘what’s your plan?’”
